Unless they have some evidence that something shady was going on then this is pretty stupid of them. I can't imagine high rollers are going to be queuing up to play at the casino that doesn't pay big winners.
Exactly, if you were worth 1 billion and felt like gambling this is now the last place you are going to go.

Also to the person saying "theyre reputation theyve been around for years they wont care" - this is why you are not a business man. No business is invincible and if you start thinking like that you will soon find you are losing money / going bankrupt

Also ii once had an 8 buy in streak win at Craps - so if that was a million into8 million what they gonna do??

Also to the people saying the Daily Mail is **** - please tell me what paper you read - The Sun? The Mirror? ... and dont say the financial times because no one will believe you

This is what also suprised me about Isildur - im suprised that story did not make national news at least, i think it would in the UK

I mean how many peopel win 6 million, then lose 4 million in a DAY? The friggin lottery jackpots are like 4 million. So i reckon that would make national news here without a doubt

Genuine questions BTW
FYI a win on "egalite" is paid out @ 8-1 odds. So Ivey winning 7 mil is pretty "meh"...

The problem with hearing a bunch of people say this that just tilts the **** out of me is the fact that you fail to see Phil Ivey was not just an employee but rather an owner. If you are the owner of a company you should probably take some interest in making sure that whoever is running the company is running a tight ship.

LOL damn shame they'll probably end up paying him. Hopefully this happens to him 6-7 more times to make up for those "distributions" from gross profits not accounting for the hole in player balances.

Also, having this kind of passive income only made it possible for him to play those lol huge games (FTP/High Stakes Poker etc etc). So OBVIOUSLY, no matter how good a player he is, the income from FTP played a massive part in how much money he actually made. I would be a lot of money that his bankroll is below 8 figures these days, thanks to his costly divorce, huge degen habits etc etc.

Not talking conspiracy here, but I think it´s kind of interesting to see how the guy who absolutely demolished nosebleeds on his own site now turned into a break-even/slightly losing reg on Pokerstars (same for Antonius obviously).
Ivey's up over 300k on pokerstars just in tracked results.

How do you know PS didn't have software like UB? That would make it easy to win.

There is no legal way to take these payments back from him. He had no knowledge or decsion in the dividends so he is free and clear. Now the same is not true for HL or CF and more then likely they will have to foreit these to DOJ

This thread should be about a casino not paying out when it should. Not about whether Ivey does or does not owe the poker community. It's sickening to keep seeing big corporate organisations get away with not paying the people that they prey on.. Whether it be online or live. Yet somehow most of us find a way to blame an individual.
10-07-2012 , 02:24 PM
blow me, ivey. i hope you never get paid.

Martingale? lol. Please explain further.

Ivey should stick to poker. The gravy train has crashed, if he keeps spaffing money in the pit he'll end up like TJ.

Odds based on 7hours of play at one hand per minute, at £150k per stake and a hand is a coinflip, for anyone interested.

Win 20 hands or more than average (£3,000,000 win or better): ~2,8%
Win 30 hands or more than average (£4,500,000 win or better): ~0,19%

You're either really dumb or being purposely difficult. If the first, you'll never understand my point. If the second, go fly a kite.
