Props to phil ivey standing up for what he believes in.
Dude. You got some serious issues. He (Bryan) is just stating what he believes, just like Ivey. No single person deserves serious injury over a simple statement.

And btw., lots of people and companies have "Social Media Marketers" on their payroll to manage all their social site content. In poker it's pretty much all WoJedi. Good article in Bluff Mag about Jay this month.

Just a couple observations on all this:
1. Phil Ivey is obviously the classiest poker player out there. According to Doyle Brunson, when Chip Reese died, Phil was the only one who came forward with an unpaid debt and paid it off to Chip's family.

2. Ivey obviously is suing b/c he probably has 3 plus million dollars online locked up and can't get paid.

3. Regardless of if Ivey doesn't play the WSOP events, he will still be playing the uber high stakes cash games that are spread during the WSOP and are far more lucrative for someone like Ivey.

4. Not only is Ivey's millions locked up on Tilt, but he also does care about others getting paid. One reason he cares that people get paid is b/c he knows that many high stakes players have large portions of their rolls locked up online who would otherwise be willing to gamble live with him now that they can't play online. Ivey wants other high stakes players to have access to their money, so in turn he can have access to their money.

5. Ivey gonna Ivey

I had thought about joining the PPA after black Friday, but that will certainly never happen now. It seems apparent to me that the PPA is just a pawn of the poker sites, and not the poker players.

Bryan Spadaro is right to feel like he got stabbed in the back, because it's what happened. However, since PPA has seemed almost invisible since Black Friday. I would say it's a just stabbing. Do something, Spadaro, and people will write "Bryan Spadaro is the MAN!!!111one" threads.

Hi All,

I am here at the WSOP, I will gladly converse with anyone why I disagree with Phil's approach or on any issue's you have at the PPA booth. I see it as a short term benefit for him to look like a hero to the community. If he solely boycotted the WSOP until players are payed back, that would be admirable. But this lawsuit would only hinder the process in my opinion. All statements I make on my twitter are my personal feelings and opinions and I have rights to those too, and not official PPA statements. I have money stuck on their too, and it is affecting me pretty drastically as well. And to clarify, I have a ton of respect for the 2+2 community and my tweet referenced Quadjacks.com as the Fox News of Poker, because I see them as people taking advantage of anger and misinformation to their benefit and harnessing that anger in a completely unproductive and self serving way.

PPA nits, Phil Ivey just 4-bet shoved on the status quo. Don't hate, just because you guys like checking every hand that is dealt to poker players.

Quadjacks has done more for poker in the last month than you/the PPA ever did.

Please don't make statements that could hinder the PPA's opportunity to advance online poker. Even though you will speak on your free time, people will naturally attribute what you say to the PPA.

No. Bryan was expressing his personal opinion. As for PPA, a new, stronger statement calling for FTP to allow us to withdraw our money was drafted yesterday and will go out today.

I don't think anyone but Ivey could actually say Bryan is definitely wrong.

I don't agree with him but it's most certainly a possibility. If I were Phil's agent this would definitely be something i'd of mentioned.

Bryan Spadaro

While I don't think you are wrong necessarily. We can only speculate at this point what Ivey's motives are and also what his strongest motivations are. Is it possible Ivey is trying to distance himself from FTP so that he can align himself w/ MGM or someone else when online poker gets regulated in the US, yes. It is also possibly though that Ivey has been really looking into the company lately and sees no real intention by FTP to pay back the players. It could also be some combination of both and we don't know how strongly which one of those motivated him to make his public announcement.
