Oops, my numbers were slightly off

He needs 14% cash rate to be probably-breakeven

14% cash-rate gives us the following best-guess:

3,900,000 = 14% of his overall buy-ins

3,900,000/0.14 = 27.9 million

So, it's really pretty much a coin-toss whether he's up money IMO. And I'd lean towards not.

Decade of quantity easily verifiable. Quality is not based on your opinion of yourself.

Decade of excellence; sorry for your butthurt and I’m not entirely familiar with your body of work but there’s a good chance you brought it on yourself.

I never accused you personally of anything. Work on your reading comprehension.

I like everyone pulling numbers out of their ass. No one knows his true profit but you can usually tell how profitable a tourny player is by their wins/top 3 finishes - that's where all the money is and is much more important than cash rate. Phil has a lot of these - he also plays a lot of low level tournies where his ROI should be fairly high. Overall he's definitely a winner but hard to say how much.

Doug Polk did a video on this a few years ago. Hellmuth has to have huge +ROI at the WSOP based on any reasonable assumptions about what he entered.

Just seeing this thread about this scammer, because of whom so many people lost money on UltimateBet, makes me sick
As a community we should unite and cancel one of those big names just as a lesson to rest. This is just not right.

What does that mean? How would this look? Who’s leading the charge?

Good job, Doc, yes we need details on these “bring scammers to Justice” posts going forward.

But just to add Phil gave quite a good statement on this situation many years ago. This is just one man’s opinion but he seems very forthcoming and honest. And none of the cheaters say he was a part of it.

We're talking tournies. Clearly in a tough cash game line up he'd get wrecked

Nice bump. We need to talk about Phil also between WSOPs.

Phil claims to be a golfer, and he's even played some games with friends of mine in the HS/golf world, but he doesn't belong to a club. To me he's like "yeah let's play Cypress" but then he hacks the ball around and doesn't belong to a club. I feel like he hung onto the "all-in" podcast crew and they sorta tossed him. His time and schtick are running dry.

But he's still the tourney goat and a hell of a fun dude. And you can only respect a guy with a cool family.

It's worth paying the subscription if you're a Hellmuth fan. Career-defining moment. And there's a continuation next week with both playing deep and rebuys having flown.

Episode 14 from last week was where the major clashes happened, this week's show was more of an aftermath. Once you watch it, you'll wonder why the whole poker world isn't discussing it.
