i disagree with the basis of this comment.

If 4 of us are at a bar and one claims to be a pro whatever, terms can be set and a wager created. Result is reached and finished.

Now that same person publicly claims that same accomplishment, maybe even places it on a resume, discrepancy arises, doubters are offered a wager and boom.....100s maybe more are searching to prove the claim wrong regardless of wager acceptance or not.

Here's the other thing. If you're that good at soccer, you obviously love the game and play it any opportunity you get.

Someone would be able to confirm that they've played with him and that he is indeed one of the best players in the world. (lol)

-phil galfond leaves BFP, makes a blogpost about it but it gets taken down and his account is closed.

-an ex-instructor (Don) at BFP makes claim that Samoleus (another instructor) went behind everyones back in the early stages of BFP, and tried to hustle money and have a fellow coach fired.

-Samoleus responds with saying Don is lying, and that hes made blogs about wanting to masturbate to a picture of Samoleus.

-Some icelandic guy enters the thread and calls samo out on lying that he had played pro-soccer in iceland during the 90s.

-Samo is angry and refuse to prove hes not lying, but offers a 50k bet to anyone that wants to call him on it.

basically.

As soon as I saw Niman mentioned in this thread my first thought was "Isn't that the guy who went back and forth in HSNL a few years about about whether he did or didn't play professional soccer?".

I love it.

Quality over Quantity

At Bluefirepoker, all of our poker coaching is done by instructors who are top players in the games they play, and have the ability to teach others how to be more successful at the tables. Our pros are hand selected by our lead pro, Phil Galfond. We choose to use a smaller number of pros than other sites. We do this because players learn much better, and faster, when learning from quality-only poker training videos, rather than searching through a large amount of videos for something that will be useful. Our goal is to speed up your learning process with pros that know how to get you where you want to be. No "filler" videos on our site.

I mainly posted it because of the totally odd number with no sign of it being money at all.

I am logging off now. You guys really are vicious vultures.

This is pathetic,

Maybe you should produce the vids in order to clear your name instead of throwing out some BS attempt to get people to back down because you pretty much know no one in NVG is going to bet 50K.

This entire post is just sad.

samo wrote this in his well

Quote:
- In the second story, in a very important league cup game in Iceland, I had the most memorable game of my life in a massive windstorm. Playing in obscene winds (I think they were over 60 mph if I remember right), we took a 5-0 lead at halftime with the wind at our backs. I had scored two goals and assisted another. However, playing against the wind in the second half, we kept conceding and went down 6-5 with about 10 minutes to play. I think that in sports, making a huge comeback is very tough mentally - but not nearly as tough as coming back FROM a huge comeback. Playing against the wind, and against unimaginable momentum, we came back with two goals in the last minutes to incredibly win the game. I scored the tying goal (giving me the only hat trick I have had in my life since I was about 15 or 16 years old).
Should be possible for someone with insight into icelandic football to dig up info about this match? That way we can get info on what fakename he was playing under.
A 7-6 W in soccer in an important league cup game should be very well known.

yeah, i entered this thread as pro-samoleus. thought he was/is a cool guy and obviously a very smart, logical thinker.

His attitude stinks however, and hes pretty much brought all of this on himself. Even if hes telling the truth about this soccergate, hes still handling it all really poorly.

niet. according to the former icelandic soccer player it's not as dramatic as people in this thread think it is. "misunderstanding" "miscommunication" etc.

It would totally screw with my time management, as I would spend at least 10 extra seconds with every post just trying to figure out if it's a haiku or if it's using some form of iambic pentameter.
