I've been pretty much torturing myself over an email I sent Phil, 60 hours 3 hours sleep as I want to get on board in a creative capacity, itching to get back into the games or just poker in some form, feel like a broken degenrate right now, spent my last 50 quid on canvas a nice black label wine and some oils wink

People who play poker for leisure were introduced to it through watching films. There is an appeal to watching and hearing stories, its what personally got me fascinated with games, from chess to all sorts of cards game to liars dice (brilliant game, simple enough that the girls can join in and complex enough that y'all will love it. But yes I hear ya, its full of collusion, isn't sport to some degree? I digress) I'd recommend it a go to you and your friends for any ski resort late night drinking sessions in cosy log cabins after a day out on the slopes! If they all start ganging up on ya be the dealer and get people to move seats. Your a fair guy. Call it Musical Perudo.

And many gamers get into it because there friends do, or because of twitch. How do you bring gaming to leisure and romanticism to a new age?


Given what I see with Runitonce in its current form, on a budget I'd suggest interlude comic style cartoons that depict small extracts of Poker stories from years gone by with a caricature American husky voice (Think I remember you talking about imagining this in that voice, not yours) (And really, there's so many out there waiting to be told, I'm sure you could find a poker enthusiast in the poker world who'd love compile together boatloads of scripts for a pittance sum) You could get different avatars from your stock and make videos of different stories, and interlude them on load up. They could never be played twice, (To see again and for more of the same visit runitonce youtube), and you could design more and have a revolving door of these continually in the works. Dynamic avatars with stories, whats not to love? The avatars would bring a character of themselves to the games depending on what people see in them, and it would sort of give a story line that could change each month, and make it 'fresh' and bring a unique, non mathematical framework that creative players of all ilks could understand. You could progress onto the history of the online generation, have different characters, and each month could have a theme.

A few cliffs as I watch the video:

- Delayed full start beyond Sept 22nd
- 1000 Beta testers to be invited from Sept 13th

Looks good but I am not a fan of the dynamic avatar that changes based on how you are playing. I think it might just put some recs off if they are tight and see their avatar has changed to someone who is asleep.

Id prefer the board cards to just be flat and not angled but that's just personal preference.

For me it looks great with the exception of the way the community cards are tilted. Makes them slightly harder to read. Would prefer them flat like the player cards.

+1. The way the cards are tilted must have something to with the screenscrapers. Unibet has a similar layout and the reason is blocking them.

Gotta agree on the tilted board. Really annoying.

Also one other minor thing the colors on the cards are a bit too desaturated, especially in contrast with the felt. Should probably switch that around so the cards pop out instead of the felt.

The software is too much like Nitrogen sports poker type. It should be more like what Full Tilt Poker used to be or something similar. I do not see anything innovative about this software and it does not look exciting at all.
Any competitor can change their buy-in structure and that seems the only different/decent part about it.

PS, Winamax, Party softwares look much better. It was a big hype at first, but now I do not see why I should play here once it launches. Galfond cares about the players? So does party and they do not spend the whole summer in Vegas for Wsop and do nothing.

+1 on ugly cards , also i think there should be an option to show the numbers VPIP PFR and 3bet and hands instead of the avatars imo.

I would like that too, but it would scare 'rec players', at least an option to remove the stupid avatars. (For the numbers we will just use PT or HM).

I guess you can design a pt4 HUD that completely blocks the avatars. But the tilted cards. I couldn't handle it.
