Just to clarify though. It's just me guessing based on the fact 31st of august is one year since first announcement and october 1st being a good date based on the things sciolist said in this thread.

idk why some ppl itt await the release so eagerly, like if it's christmas and we're all 5 yrs old ... there are already alternative poker rooms, much bigger than RIO poker will be the 1st year ... mods really should close the thread until phil has something new

I wrote this down in the survey, that RIO should adopt merges software. Most fun software out there, quick timebanks, easily visible chat but doesn't clutter the table, animated emoticons, etc. I see more table talk and banter between players here than any other site. Enjoyable for recs when even if they lose they have fun and keep coming back, instead of playing against 8 mute regs.

With how long the development process has taken it would be a real shocker if they didn't have a completely new software. I think they understand how big a factor getting the software right is and that's probably the main reason why the release has been delayed so much.
