Too many delays, too little new information. I just get the feeling eventually we are going to get an announcement that "due to the poor online poker climate, yada yada. they have opening of the site has been delayed indefinetely if not just scraped.

No inside info, just a feeling.
Yep I'm sure they've sunk millions and hired a full development/management team just to scrap the project due to the uninformed opinions that you've shared with us

Yeh, agree. Though if they put out monthly developer diaries, they'd be able to get the best of both worlds. I'd 100% be doing this from at least six months out, showing how they decide on which features to build, how they're going to make them, what it's like in the office, blahblah.

That depends on whether you think solipsism is crazy or not.

No one is going to release a poker site in the middle of summer.

I expect a late 2017/early 2018 release. Pre release updates probably in the fall.

Just gonne sound like a nit here.

Yeah Galfond wants to create a new poker site.
And all you guys are saying helll yesss easyyyyy.

No it isn't...
A) All the programing the coding, the money and time that he has to invest.
B) The risk in this current poker market...
C) Regulation Laws (for example in Belgium, if you want to have an online gambling website you must be connected to a real life casino, and in Belgium there are only 8 casinos....(We have Pokerstars Unibet Bwin, and all the rest off the gambling sites are banned)

I dont see this happen.

Doubt this happens
06-21-2017 , 07:46 AM
Where does all this scepticism come from i thought gandalf would save us all?

Considering the state of the other sites right now I'm fine waiting for a few extra months so (hopefully) things come out decently

He's already failed to deliver. The launch was announced to take place in the first quarter of 2017.

+1

Also, moar engagement with yo audience man. C'mon phil, yo know this.

Get on the ingram show, open up a slack to those from the community that want to contribute to dev team. Alpha + Beta testing to invitational only volunteers to keep the hype real. decentralised poker is just around the corner.... we need this now. So he can monopolise decentralised poker asap once his traditional online poker site is up. The dev on this never stops. he needs to stake raking now. he could've easily just got a white label skin and started raking ages ago, whilst this was being worked on.

All of that said, I reckon a lot of thought will be put into the final product and I look forward to smashing buttons and mice.

Basically big poppah toppah saying; work them channels...

drop a moist tweet every now and then, we all ripe fo multitabling all up in this bytch. Some pokerstars level support with sweet FT-esque graphics and mix in some high stakes railbirding and THE DREAM to become a red pro and then, damn, that's the money shot hunni. Rub our rake on yo tightey titties man. it aint hard. you just got to entrepreneur the f out of us joes.

I'd say this is certainly true. At this point though, I'd wait until September as momentum from the get go will be needed if he plans to be competitive.
I wish him the best of luck and hope to support his site.

Run it never
06-29-2017 , 09:32 PM
It will be up and running one day. As long as it doesn't look anything like Lucky Chewy's site it should do just fine.

Got mail with survey from RIO. Hope things are moving nicely,
07-05-2017 , 12:22 PM
y me too and i did fill that it was clever one.
07-05-2017 , 12:28 PM
It is coming... survey suggests so.
You guys should support and take 2-3 mins and fill out.
07-05-2017 , 12:57 PM
I guess naysayers were wrong. Seriously guys take the time to fill out the survey.
07-05-2017 , 02:16 PM
Done!

It takes more than 3 minutes to submit suggestions on what games should be offered at RIO Poker etc., but I believe that this extra time is well-spent.
07-05-2017 , 04:41 PM
Additional comments; rub mah rake on yo tightey titties galfond...asap brah

Kind of a dumb analysis I know, but that survey set up was very nice, much cleaner and enjoyable. That's how I hope RIO poker feels, can't wait to play.
