Last night was the first beta session I’ve been able to play. Just wanted to say congrats to Phil and his team on creating a really nice poker site. The design is really nice and almost everything runs really smooth.

The only thing I noticed was the lack of time you was given to see opponents hand at showdown. Support did say they was aware of the showdown problem and are working on fixing it.

Agreed that you should all watch the pod with Joey - it was a good one!

But, I can answer this. We're going to have BTC deposit/withdrawal options (likely at or soon after launch), but there won't be BTC tables. All games are played in €.

Thank you, and thanks for being a part of it! We do have a long list of desired improvements, with the showdown speed you mentioned being towards the top. We'll keep improving what we can, both pre and post-launch.

Glad to hear it felt great to you despite the known issues!

Haven't really kept up to speed with things but I couldn't deposit for the first beta test and haven't bothered trying since. Was there a problem with this and has it been fixed yet?

Hey, Husker. It's hard for me to know without knowing exactly what went wrong. There have been improvements and fixes made since our first test, but the best way to find out if it'll work for you now is either to try again in our cashier or to email support.

I hope we'll be able to accommodate and get you testing tomorrow!

I'll give it another try tomorrow.

thanks anuj very helpful.

What about China? I googled. can I play on Pokerstars in China, and did not get a clear answer. Seems like Central govt did some sort of crackdown recently.

What about India? I googled that as well it looks like Stars shut down .com site and instead offered a ring fenced .in site there

I assume since China and India are not on RIO exclusion list, you are accepting bets from there on a your .com site.

There is decent chance that they are looking into .es/.it/.pt market. (Some beta files suggest it).

No solid indication just yet but there is another beta test in a couple of hours. This is the second one in a week. The fact that the frequency is increasing may support the idea that things are moving along...

You're welcome!

Yes, players from China can play on both PokerStars and Run It Once.

You're right about Stars shutting down .com for Indians and we now have a ring fenced .IN site here :/

RIO is accepting Indian players as well thankfully!!!

Interesting. I assumed Beijing recent moves on social poker would have made Stars change their stance there. You all are private. vs public like Stars Much simplified regulatory tree for RIO.

But given that, I am surprised NJ regulators have not made China (and other countries where Stars might operate right on the line of legality) an issue with their gaming license.

So you all will have both a .com and a ringed .in site operating in India.

one more quick question about above regarding US regulatory (Gzesch? or others)

If a jurisdiction (Say NV, CA or really anywhere) has or was about to have regulated for money poker AND for whatever reason powerful lobby in that state wanted to keep Stars out, could they not use the fact that Stars is still operating in grey markets be enough of a reason to get them excluded ?

It seems the Stars has served enough in time out corner for previous bad actor stuff in US and although that worked in the past, not sure would have as much teeth as reason for exclusion in 2019 and beyond.
