For the regs it's huge, you need those to have a viable site, but it doesn't make a difference who owns it to the fun players. If they have a good marketing campaign, which seems likely, it should be just fine. If a site like Global Poker can attract a decent player base with meh software, catering to American's and Canadians, only paying out in Pay Pal, why can't Galfond? That site has more 10/20 than Stars at almost all times of the day. (Still wouldn't suggest player there, fwiw)
All it takes is intelligent advertising.
