I don't understand why Phil isn't/hasn't thrown money at advertising. There should be YouTube ads, Google ads, TV ads etc. If he has then not enough's been spent cos I haven't seen one.

Did anyone know he had a DFS site too? I only found out about it as it closed down. Had a really novel concept where it visualized your sweat as well. Just didn't want to pay the piper I guess to get the word out.

He mentioned that Linus Loeliger offered to play him half NL/half PLO, but thinks it is the least attractive offer that he has received.

I'm a bit surprised Linus didn't offer to play him straight PLO.

As has been said by others, I also think that Phil Galfond is one of the most trustworthy people in poker (not to limit his trustworthiness to that, but that is what we are talking about). I've always thought that he has generally handled everything quite well from what I have seen. I don't know him personally.

I still don't think it is appropriate or a good idea for the owner of a poker site to play poker on that site.

In general, I'd also agree with this. However I'd give this a pass if it were just a one-off promotional thing. I'd assume Phil would not be be playing regularly, at least at high stakes.
That said, I do believe the whole 'play with the pros' is good for drawing in recreational players (if they still exist...).

I was hoping to have all of my matches locked in by now and to begin sharing details, but it is proving a lot harder than expected to finalize challenges.

I had a vision in mind for how we'd announce things, but I'll need to rethink it so that we can start announcing challengers and terms without having all of them finalized first.
