I have been interested in the calculated gamble behind the site, launching it before the software matched the public requirements, and risking the site failing through disappointment.

How is the traffic these days, does it look as though this site has taken off/ will take off, or is the player pool still too small to look viable?

I am all for people chasing their dreams, like Galfond setting up a site, to add to the poker community, and it is good that he has belatedly realised he has to provide what people want, not what he wants them to want, so is now listening to the customer, but is this too late?

Anyway i am willing to bet 10k or more that Phil will win against any other player of your choosin at odds 1.7/1, meaning if Phil wins on my 10k you pay me 17k and if Phil loses i pay you 10k. you can choose any player you wish.

i dont think so, it dont matter, any player in the wrld, barry, vvv, grazvis, lrslzk wruum,eee, omaha4rollz, aimsoso, all the same its all about how good anyone runs in that session (s) against Phil as he is more then capable, anyone who thinks oherwise is just a lol fanboy.

edit: i do think Phill has some leaks tho, but he compensates in other departmetns, would depend on opponent a lot, lets just say that Phil should deviate from gto more, a lot more in many spots and i am not sure he is ready to do that, that is his major leak, as top pros dont give a **** about gto lol, its all about experience and millions of spots and feel whats going on..

An open challenge to anyone who currently makes training videos for a site other than Run It Once

Who can the 11 people be that have challenged him so far?
I can only think of Runchucks (confirmed in his thread). Jnandez has ruled himself out. Who else makes training vids for a site who could challenge him? Maybe a couple of the American guys that run stables/private training?

Phil, you should start with the smaller stake challenges first, if there is 25/50 takers, that way you can martingale everything back if you happen to lose the first challenges.

Assuming Phil wins (he's going to win) 20BI, that's 60K worth of books? That's like 2,000 copies at $30 each.

Are they even printing that many copies on the first run?

Are their 2K people who would want this book even if it's a free?

Wouldn't giving away that many copies cannibalize his customer base?

I'll be buying a copy because I like Perkins, think he's a fascinating dude who's super smart, and I like to read books.

There's no cannibalizing if they are being purchased. Say I want to read Book X - it makes no difference to the author/publisher whether I buy it with my own money or someone else buys it & gives it to me as a gift.

There's a lot of negativity here for something that will draw eyes and excitement back to online poker. I will be following this, will re download RIO poker and will probably end up depositing so he's got one customer and I'd say I'm not unique when it comes to this.

Also I think Galfond is beyond reproach when it comes to cheating.
