The final couple of hours of the Venividi challenge was quite literally the most thrilling poker content I'd ever watched.

the last few hrs thats all that tickles your fancy through that entire match geez? Anytime galfond plays on stream and we can watch a world class player play its thrilling to watch period. Even sauce played some. People don't realize how spoiled they are getting to watch 2 end boss play on stream for free. Back in the day we had to pay for that kind of content. Now they get it for free and people say stuff like galfond is done, hes old news.

Then they go over his hands saying he played his hands wrong on twitch. But none of these guys got in the hu challenge against him. thats the funny part. Hes bad but they wont play him. he even railed well known pro teaching him nlh and 5 years later the guy comes back showing the content throwing galfond under the bus to saying hes wrong to make his poker site look better.

Phil is thrown under the bus more then any world class pro I ever seen. Hes nothing but nice to everyone but for some reason other pros want to make him look bad like they are better then him. And they never made anywhere close to the results hes had. As soon as galfond hu match started with veni that was the most exciting thrilling thing for me. I learned a lot from watching all that content for free. Its all about learning and imo galfond has given more knowledge to poker then anyone else in online poker history. He should be more appreciated as a player and person. Hopefully that will change in the future. He deserves respect especially beating veni and actionfreak. Who else can do that?

You kind of sound like that one poster who worshiped staples first and after that lex. He even pmd people saying stop bullying staples. Can't remember the nick though. Personally I don't find it that exciting to watch them play without holecards or talking about the hands as they play. I totally get it why Galfond isn't doing that but it just makes it little more boring to watch.

However, I’m in the US right now, so the Perkins and Jungleman matches are on hold until I’m out of the country and can coordinate with them. Chance and I plan to start our match in mid-September on WSOP. He’s got some other obligations til then.

Nothing is scheduled yet besides the Chance match in September. It’s challenging with the uncertainty of how long challenges will go on and with the uncertainty surrounding travel plans in our new world. I’ll keep you posted (probably on Twitter) when anything is scheduled.

don't have details, but legends showdown is still running ... i can't imagine, they would play simultaneously. so my guess is, that they announce more info next week

Just logged on to WSOP.com and see galfond vs chance about 1 hour into their match at 100/200. WSOP.com doesn't offer HU tables but looks like they're hosting this challenge and there are 100/200 HU only tables available on the site right now.

I love the challenges and i love phil but how do they end up with a miscommunication for starting day of this challenge to end up having day 1 streamed by random 3rd party streamers , also both guys names make it quite underwhelming to a random rec if they tune in and see someone streaming 'HeyGuys and BingShui' playing some hu plo.

Just not sure how this translates into people depositing to RIO, feels like 35k hands is going to take forever on wsop.com as well with no hole cards the whole time presumably unless they work with them behind scenes?


Nonetheless should be a nice payday for phil so that's good!
