It was a great play what are you saying. He finds out right there if his Kings are the best hand, if he calls he will be in a world of hurt on many turns and rivers. If he gets called he knows he is beat if there is any more betting on later streets and check/folds, if he gets raised he knows he is beat and folds.
It was a good spot to information raise.
