IS Party Poker intentionally disconnecting players today because of Overlay? This Needs 2STOP IS Party Poker intentionally disconnecting players today because of Overlay? This Needs 2STOP

Party Poker had big overlays today and everyone has been disconnected. This is NOT the first time as twitter indicates.

Party Poker should issue refunds to everyone playing today with a tournament still going on as its clear nobody had a chance to win playing in them

What has a regulator ever done for the players besides take a paycheque? This is absurd and shady AF

Chomp, you still play party poker ? Why ?

Instead of starting a new thread in the wrong forum, you could post in the Internet Poker thread where people are already discussing this and the Party Poker rep has responded.
03-04-2018 , 05:12 PM
Oh, I see you are already posting in that thread. Why the hell would you make a new thread here?

I think this belongs where more people will see it because it seems a large casino is intentionally shutting down games to save money. This is why online poker is done. The biggest companies continue to pull unethical s like this. No wonder they have no problems hiring angle shooting team pros who run tournament stables on their own site and the ring leader has dibs on reviewing hand histories of suspected collusion.

UNREAL

When things like this spill over to social media and become a big drama (as this situation has), it's NVG-worthy imo. But I may be biased in thinking that 2+2 is way too fragmented in general.

IMO this is worthy of looking into class action at this point as it is very clear everytime big overlay happen this company is cancelling the tournaments.

Zero integrity

I kinda think that also, seems many cases of moderation or seeking moderation for the sake of organization of course order is great just not at the sake of organically allowing discussion or allowing items to be filtered through the top viewed area of the site at least for some period of time instead of instantly calling for "the proper place"

the internet has become stale

This is from “the imp” in the Party thread

“Anyone affected in the UK should report them to the ASA (advertising standards agency). The rules apply to adverts/promotions in-client and they're effectively advertising something they don't plan to follow through on (a guaranteed prize pool).

It's a simple form to complete on the ASA website and it'll prevent them doing this again. Lots of gambling sites have been ruled against recently.”

Maybe I'm having a brain lapse here but how would disconnecting people in a tourney that already is on overlay help Party? I mean the overlay is the overlay, it doesn't go away because people's connections are mumbled with

It actually does, T&Cs state that if it happens before the money the prize pool is distributed but not the overlay

Is it true they had half a million overlay in both the 215$ and 5200$ for a total of one million in overlay for just those two tournaments. Plus all the rake back paid out in the next few hours that players now can not make

This only applies if the tournament is still in late reg. Once registratition is closed they have to pay out based on the guaranteed prized pool.

Personally I think you have to be borderline mentally handicapped(or an Alex Jones fan) to think party downed their own servers today so save some overlay money when they're losing 6-7 hours of prime time rake in their other poker games

Not sure what the overlay amount was when the server was going down but the KO-series main event still had plenty of time left to reach their guarantee or close to it. It's not like any of these tournaments would've actually overlayed a million like someone said earlier.

****grunch**** no they are not.

Thanks

What if You can preferentially shut down connections for tourney players but not cash players. Boom. Problem solved.
