If yes, wow.
Are you kidding me? Now I'm the one being accused of all of this? lol.

That's a joke.

I'm going to get in contact with Richard and try to solve this problem as soon as possible.

This story sounds interesting... but I have to admit I have no idea what the hell is going on!

Ciffnotes?

I actually laughed out loud when he got to the part about Richard Brodie stealing $500.

Who else is stealing from you Warren Buffet?

Maybe you really are being scammed. If so, can you answer whether your FullTilt screen name is cursedbyagypsy or is it just an incredible coincidence that it is the name you chose for 2p2?

If it is, do you have any evidence that your account has been hacked? It would seem whoever hacked quaternion's aim account either owns the cursedbyagypsy account, is working with the owner of that account, or has hacked that account? Which is it?

Yes my fulltiltpoker screen name is cursedbyagypsy.

And that is the whole reason why I'm shocked. It still baffles me that my Full tilt account has been banned for no apparent reason. The only thing I can think of is that maybe Richard sent them an Email with my full tilt screen name involved (he said he didn't) or the hacker tried to send me money on full tilt for any apparent reason and his account was being investigated so they quickly closed mine.

I honestly have no idea whats going on.

I just emailed richard and he told me that he notified full tilt poker about the situation and hopefully they will have my account re-launched in no time.

I just hope so because I love playing on Full Tilt

+1

The OP is full of pointless info that mainly functions as a confidence builder - the small town in Italy, durrrr stuff, talking about "his friends" achievements etc. It's written like a novel instead of being a downright list of facts, ie. he still hasn't given the name of "his friend who got hacked", the FTP security email or other vital information.

Then the OP backtracks ("I'll delete this thread!"), gets defensive ("Lol you're accusing me!") and probably will stop posting soon (under this screenname). Weirdest and funniest counter-reverse-scam-outing I've ever seen. A+

so basically for everyone's clarity the scam in this case was SUPPOSED to work out like so:

scammer (middle man) - gets a well known AIM account who is linked to other poker players (usually have lots of $$$ and are well known) such as Richard Brodie in this case. the scammer convinces richard brodie on aim that the person he is talking to is in fact the person who owns the aim account (not a scammer) and gets Brodie to ship some money to one of his horses (not the gypsy account, some other random account), the scammer tells brodie that the money will come back to him from the gypsy account (his horse). so gypsy in this case sends to brodie so that the scammer seems legit, then brodie sends to the scammers account which isn't gypsy but some other account and then gypsy is out 500 bucks and brodie is supposed to be none the wiser?

is that correct?

It really is starting to look like you are an innocent victim in this that also got hacked by the guy in WV or wherever.
08-10-2010 , 12:19 PM
The OP has a point... how many Richards are there in the world? 3 or 4?
08-10-2010 , 12:20 PM
Kevmath, would you be willing to post the location of op's ip address?

That hardly seems right. To post somebodies ip info on a public forum.

Also it doesn't really mean a whole lot since if this person can hack AIM accounts and FTP and PS accounts he can likely mask his ip address

FWIW I dont think OP is the scammer, I think he was just caught in the middle and is being played.

You are seriously kidding. I can't give the info of the player that had his account hacked, unless he's okay with it. I already gave enough info about his stats and I don't know what (Plus the scammer said something that gave his account away during his chat with Richard...about him coming 6th in an FTOPS Event) I think thats all the info I can give on him now.

Here's the Email that Full tilt sent me the first time:

Could you please reverse the transaction before its too late. This is very
important and sorry for the inconvenience.

What else do you need and I'll gladly post it?

Even Richard is trying to help me after all of this. Shows he's a good man and shows that we're both victims.

its not right, but if the op is innocent it will def be a egypt address. if its egypt you cant assume op isnt a liar. however, if its any other country other than egypt its obvious op is a liar or a world traveler. so i guess what im saying is his IP address in and of itself wont prove much....

I can understand that, but I have seen mods post similar info before (such as your account is coming from your supposed brother's same ip address).

Actually I'm not trying to help you and I never said I didn't report you to FTP. In fact, I said the opposite if you will reread my first post.

no money in developing the pretty much the most successful software app ever, everyone's solid.
08-10-2010 , 12:33 PM
richard doesnt work for full tilt as a support member.....

look your story is shady and hardly makes sense to anyone. please answer the following:

1. was your ftp / pokerstars account hacked?
2. who is your friend?
3. did you ship the money to p0kerm0n or not?
4. if you did intend to ship the money why the heck did you do it? I understand you said it was to get money on the site. Doesnt make sense to me, surely you have some friend (other than a complete stranger) that could help you.
08-10-2010 , 12:34 PM
If there is any way I can prove I'm Egyptian and in Egypt at the moment I will do it.

I'm still at work but I can go home and scan my passport which has the same name on both my full tilt poker and pokerstars accounts.

And why the hell am I trying to prove that I'm innocent here?

This is complete bull. I will wait until the 4th party (my friend with the hacked account) answers back and posts to prove my innocence along with Brodie.

Thanks.
