online poker legend Rich Lyndaker (nutsinho) has passed away

going to keep this as straight forward as possible. i'm a close friend who has been in touch w his hometown friends and family

rich died somewhere between monday july 29th and tuesday july 30th at his apartment in san diego of an accidental overdose (confirmed by toxicology). he was taking prescribed pills to manage pain from a recent soccer injury

no one outside his family and close friends know this yet. i'm posting here because, for the sake of his legacy, i want the story to be told by those who know, not by rumors

please be respectful to his family. feel free to share positive stories about him here. he was truly a legend of our game

Re: online poker legend Rich Lyndaker (nutsinho) has passed away

That is really sad.

I played online and live with him in the last year. His personality really came through in the chatbox and table talk. He was really funny and had a unique sense of humor. Never any hostility even if he ran awful. I wish I had known him better.

Extremely sad news.

We've played at the same tables several times a week over the last year+ at ACR PLO games.

Really admired his game and he was a nightmare to have sitting on your left. True legend.

RIP Rich

That's so sad to hear.
I recognised his screen name straight away as someone I made the FT of the TCOOP wrap up hyper with back in 2014. The chat was amusing that night,

RIP young man.

Ugh gut punch when I read that. I hadn't talked to him in several years, but he was one of the good ones. Rip to the legend, nutsinho.

Damn, this is so unexpected and sad.
He was a good guy, met him a few times when he lived in Toronto. Never got a chance to play soccer with him even though we played for the same team over different seasons. Rest In Peace.

This is true and accidents are pretty common unfortunately. Basically your heart rate slows too much, pulse drops and then stops. While these drugs have their uses, you need to be extremely careful (and I am not saying he wasn't).

Didn't know him personally, but we played a bunch in the ACR online games. He was always difficult to play against.

Sad news all around. RIP Rich
