They probably don't do it online because to make a 7 handed table just once in a 6 max tournament is a major headache that the software can't cope with. Playing with even tables is just so much fairer and to me seems the infinitely better option.
Actually, no. That would be trivial to do in software.

Well I did say "probably" lol, I know nothing about programming. The online sites should do that then, fairer than having uneven tables IMO

He also said they're not televising the 50k this year and the final table isn't NLH, I hadn't heard that before, why have they gone back to that format?

Re: ***OFFICIAL WSOP SWEAT THREAD***

The final table isn't NLHE because they aren't televising it since the average viewer doesn't like non NLHE. As for why they aren't televising it, I assume it's a ratings/money thing for ESPN.

6max and 4max tournaments were first played online last I checked. No 6max tournament ever had a 7 handed final table until a live TD got a hold of the format.

I don't think it should happen in 9 handed tournaments either, but tournament directors use the term nine handed to refer to all kinds of combinations of 9 and 10 handed play. Some tournaments are "9 handed" tournaments where 90% of the play is 10 handed.

Taking shorthanded formats and adding players is something else entirely.

The real issue here is that you can come up with a logical reason to add a player to any of the formats(4 max,6 max, 9 max), but the reasons are different for each format. The reason you would add a player 9 handed isn't the same as the reason you would add one 6 handed.

Which leads me to believe the addition is arbitrary in at least some of the formats.

EDog 5th in chips with 8 left in the $1500 2-7, #30. Maybe he won't be cash broke much longer.

'08 WSOP ME FT was the first I ever watched and Ylon was one of my two favorites that year. (the other was demidov). glad to see that he won his bracelet. I still remember the hand where he folded the king high flush to demidov's ace high flush. nice stuff.

Yeah watched it yesterday, guy managed to stay under the radar, even considering he was a N9er.

Re: ***OFFICIAL WSOP SWEAT THREAD***

You guys have any issues with stream? I get "Audio Only". I can see the ads however and all other FT's have been working fine. I have installed Veetle. Any suggestions?

Edit: I cleared cookies in Chrome

I didn't see that button but I went to my other computer and found one of my facebook account info so i was able to log in. I wonder if this facebook thing has been required sense the start of the WSOP and I never noticed because I was unknowingly logged in on facebook and when I erased my cookies yesterday I got the facebook sign in today on WSOP or is this facebook sign in thing new.

Either way I got it working but I still think it's stupid to have you sign into facebook esp when many don't use facebook at all or very rarely.
