I see Griffin Benger made it deep in the NLHE 4-max... had no idea "shaGuar" plays poker! Used to be obsessed with Counter-Strike where he was one of the biggest names in the game. Googled him and I see he's ranked #1 on Pocketfives with over $3 million in online cashes... pretty crazy how computer gaming seems to transfer so well to poker

yah with commentating. I would have done it for free for them. they need to do featured tables for more tourneys, not just FTs even though theres a FT every night. over half of them arent even w comentary

In all fairness, We have pretty much one Final Table with commentary every night. Today was my last day off for the remainder of June.

My wife is ethnically Chinese. She automatically switches to Mandarin when her sister is over. Not to be "rude", but simply because it comes naturally to her. It's the way she's used to speaking with her family. And she's been speaking English since she was 5 years old.

There are tests you must take to become a citizen. You'd probably fail them.

Also, there is no official language in the USA; deal with it.

Again, if anyone can explain to me why every final table has 1 more person than the namesake of the event I'd like to hear it.

These formats(6 max, 4 max,etc) were pioneered online and this isn't how they work. They should treat these formats the same way they treat other formats. You don't see them changing how razz or 2-7 triple draw works.

I get it. Live tournaments are stupid and you love adding players to the table(see 10 handed play for no reason), but these are formats that existed first online and the way they were originally played should be respected.

If this helps people see how ridiculous having 10 handed final tables for no reason is then I'm all for it.

this one they have 5 cos otherwise it'd be two uneven tables of 2 and 3, not fair to the 2 handed table paying more blinds

6max similar idea - at 8 handed they can have 2 tables of 4, at 7 handed it'd be uneven so they make it 1 table which is close enough to 6max

10 handed play they do cos it's closer to 9 handed than having 2 tables of 5

Not playing headsup in 4max could make sense if live TDs hadn't decided to add one player to every format.

Your premises are conflicting. They play 7 handed in six max to avoid uneven tables. They play 10 handed in nine max despite tables being even anyway?

They don't go to an 11 handed final table despite 11 being closer to 9 than 6 or 5.

I think it has more to do with the fact a lot of live players have an aversion to playing shorthanded and their rules being antiquated.

Shorthanded play on the way to the final table is one of the most important aspects of tournament poker and the greatest tournament series on the planet is doing things to rob skilled players of the opportunity to play shorthanded.

You realise live came before Internet right? They've always done it that way.

They probably don't do it online because to make a 7 handed table just once in a 6 max tournament is a major headache that the software can't cope with. Playing with even tables is just so much fairer and to me seems the infinitely better option.

Fair point on the 9 max playing 1x10 instead of 2x5 although I guess that way they don't have to worry about hand for hand, and it's closer to the "proper amount" by being one too many players instead of 4 too few.
