Am I the only one who was half-hoping that Ivey would get 2nd in this one? If he ends up with a bunch of close-to-wins, I wonder how that would change the way people look at PH's results last year.

PH's results last year will always be hilarious just because of the perfect story it told. guy's been obsessed with getting a non-holdem bracelet, gets HU in two different $10k non-holdem championship events, loses, then miraculously goes on to get HU with a huge chip lead in the $50k that he wanted to win more than anything, and loses that one too. but at least he has player of the year locked up as long as one guy doesn't final table the main event with 6800+ runners...THEN THAT GUY FINAL TABLES! you couldn't write something like that.

as for changing the way people look at anything related to PH, don't expect anything anyone does ever to change that - both for fans and detractors
