If Ivey hangs on and wins it, we'll have a POTY who is stuck over $500k for the series.

Was really bored the other day( just before the one drop tournament)

From the 10k 6 max

This Gregory Merson gets his money in bad 3x at the final table and wins all 3 pots. Congrats to him though.

He played a 3k PLO8 one than ran at the same time as the Big One. Someone else might be able to give a more complete list.

Just looked up entries. He did not play that event. Strangely MIA.

Can somebody explain to me what exactly "squeezing" your card(s) means in the draw games, please?

I think Hellmuth has written 4 times in the last month that he played chinese poker all night and that it was a mistake because he couldn't play an event the day after... I guess Hellmuth doesn't learn from his mistakes, because he did it again and antied off 13k in chips while he took a 3 hours nap during the 10k national championship... I mean, does he really want another bracelet? I just don't understand this type of behaviour.

The tournament has been going on for more than 7 hours, and he must have played 1 hour. Shouldn't he be focussed on winning?

You would think so, but when you believe yourself to be one of the greatest NLH players in the world, if not the greatest, then I suspect he wasn't really sweating it that much.

He's also probably pretty content with having already won a bracelet this year, and his odds of winning the 10K aren't exactly high in the first place.

But I guess mostly, this is just Phil being Phil. That's why love him, or hate him, he's hard to ignore.

Squeezing is when you're all in and drawing and need to hit and your opponent has already shown their hand so you know what you need to catch to win. Happens a lot in draw games but also in stud.

You place the card with a long edge nearest you and peel up the side but block the corners with your thumbs so you can't see what it is. Then you peel it up slightly more to see if it's a picture, a four across (a 10 or 9), a three across (8, 7 or 6), a two across (5 or 4) or a none across (3, 2, or ace) and what the suit is. If this combo means you're still live, you then peel a bit more to see exactly what number it is or peel your thumb off one of the corners.

You usually commentate as you do it, for the sweat: "ok I need a 98732 or diamond.....it's a none across....spades...(look to see what none across spades have already been shown-spot the 2 in your opponents hand)...ok so I'm even money (it's either the 3 or the ace)...damn ace, GL everybody"

The slower you do it, the luckier it is
