All time greatest luckboxes maybe! I've not watched him play a single hand with holecards and agreed with a single line he's ever took.

Mizrachi just did that. WOW.

Wasn't he broke a few years ago?

Is he awesome or just running good for all of life?

i mean the guy talking during the event acted like he was bad. yea 100 or so people but there's still a lot of play and seems hard to luck out twice in this event.

For once I agree with you, it's just like I said, no matter who won they would have to run incredibly hot.

...and be proficient in all of the games being played. NLHE/PLO specialists will just never take down this tourney. If you think otherwise, you clearly don't play mixed games.

this is also up there pretty damn high. kinda shocked I forgot about it. re-evaluating my little list now. Matt Affleck also deserves some recognition in this conversation imo for his Main event runs.

maybe 8th or 9th im most impressive

Well I'm 100% sure any of the players who cashed would have won if they had had Mizrachi's run of cards over the last couple of days.

What was amazing was (and correct me if I'm wrong) I only counted one hand that Mizrachi went to showdown with and lost (lower flush to Bloch in PLO).

He's a pretty big fish at LHE by most accounts, so I'd be surprised if he was that great at the other games. People trip out on variance like it's LSD in this forum.

Fwiw I've played with him on Stars, but I'm not gonna act like it was enough hands to say much about his play. Other highly-respected posters have though and thought he was the mark in mid/high LHE and LO8, so whatevs.

Apparently Peter Eastgate is playing in the $5k NLHE.

Is this news? I thought he had retired from poker or something.

I don't think what you're pointing out is worth much tbh. You're talking on-line vs live, cash vs. tourneys and only 2 games out of 8.

Did anyone notice on the stream a couple of minutes after the win when Grinder was on the phone that the dealer who was replaced only a few hands before he won, came up to him and they had a few words and then Grinder pulled out what looked like a credit card sized object (Maybe it was cash) and gave it to the dealer?
WTF was that?

I'm curious why there was a man in a blue cop-like uniform there when the event ended. Was it a police officer or a security guard of some kind?

I have had a feeling Grinder has become more gambling kind of player then he was when he was taking down WPT titles. Seems very spewy and reads boards often very badly at least imo. But he has to have something speciall i mean what he has done win the 50k 2 times in 3 years is phenominal. He did though both time run incredible well like 2 years ago he was totally outplayed by that russian but got very lucky beating him. This time he was crusiall 50/50 vs Ivey close to the money bubble and the final table was ofcourse the biggest joke i ever seen he just almost won every singel hand
