What in the world is he doing? He has a better chance of convincing the judge that he didn't know his wife had a lot of shoes in the bedroom closet.

Stud-8

We just lost 1999 World Series of Poker bracelet winner and 23rd place finisher in last year's Main Event, John Esposito. Dan Shak and David Oppenheim were both involved in this hand that got scooped by the latter.
John Esposito {x-}{x-} / {2-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades} / {x-}
Dan Shak {x-}{x-} / {A-Clubs}{10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} / {x-}
David Oppenheim {x-}{x-} / {4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{2-Spades} / {x-}

On fourth street both Shak and Oppenheim checked to Esposito who bet, and both player called. Shak checked sixth street and Oppenheim bet, Esposito raised all in, Shak three-bet and Oppenheim put in the fourth raise. Shak called.

On seventh street Shak bet and Oppenheim called. Shak showed {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} for two pair, and Oppenheim tabled {2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{7-Hearts} for trip deuces and an eight-seven-four-three-deuce low. Esposito mucked his cards and Oppenheim took down this big pot.

He didn't call down. He three bet 6th street when Espo was all in and freerolling Openheim. Then leads on 7th...the only reason Openheim didn't raise is because he knew anybody that has ever played the game has to have a full house to lead out....anybody but Shak I guess.

Scary good. If he cared to improve his NLHE and PLO games, he would be right up there with the Iveys and PAs of the world as far as best overall poker players.

Ivey has had the swingiest tourney ever, but he always manages to claw his way back. It's pretty surreal. He's still short but he's got Limit expert Cassidy on his left and also limit players Johnny World and Mosseri on his left. He should have a big edge in the big bet stuff. I want Ivey and Blom at the final table, heads up for the bracelet ONE TIME!!!!!!

Previous threads and online sites have him still playing in Macau.

Is it possible for a considerable amount of pros to skip the WSOP in the next few years in order to play juicy cash games?
