Not sure why this Samuel Goodbluff is getting so much hate. Sometimes your reads are wrong and you make a play you shouldn't do but come on guys give him a break.

What is the issue with the fistpump etc? He's allowed to celebrate staying in a tournament surely? Especiallly on the final table AND vs Phil Ivey? Can't see an issue with that at all. Sh*t if I virtually felted Ivey with any hand I'd be absolutely stoked and would give way more than a fistpump - and I'd be grinning from ear to ear. He's the best player in the world - any of the fanboys on here would be ecstatic to take a single pot of him let alone to almost take him out of a tournament.

Dude, you made a super donk play against the guy the whom everyone was rooting for, got uber lucky and sucked out, busted the guy, showed no class and acted like a complete douche after the hand was over, and to top it all off, your girlfriend posted some seriously idiotic **** on twitter without having no clue wtf is going on. So what exactly was the reaction you were expecting? You're not entitled to anyone's respect just because you exist.

Burnsabe:
ignore these azzhats. It's not about "respect." It's ALWAYS about the money.
These are the same pigeons who lick Phil Ivey's shoes yet cry when he is part of a poker site that stole millions from players. The best part was Ivey squirming in his chair with 11 chips left. He looked so lost!!
Well played sir!

Showed "no class"? If he pointed at Ivey and started laughing then I would agree. But he only expressed how he felt and probably couldn't help smiling. How is that showing no class?
Candio's reaction after sucking out on Cheong, was way way worst, and even then, how can you blame him? Do people not watch poker? How many times do players scream and go to their friends in the crowd after a big win? Double-standard much?
It's not the perfect analogy, but are we expecting sport players to not be happy after a goal or a touchdown because it may offend players of the losing team? The guy got lucky and won, there's nothing wrong with showing a little emotion as long as you do not put the other player down.
As for the girlfriend she was touchy and misread what Hastings meant (I wonder why with everyone attacking her boyfriend). She should apologize to Hastings, but why insult someone for misunderstanding someone else? I agree that she was wrong though.

I agree with basically all of this other than everyone rooting for Ivey. I like to root for the person who plays the best, which is usually Ivey, so I guess yeah I was rooting for him.
Anyways, he got a guy to ship 6-2 off when he had 8s. 6-2 off. If you beat 8s with 6-2 off show some class buddy. Act like you've been there before even if you haven't. Act like a professional.
Then you suck out on AK with KQ. How do you not win the tournament? Oh yeah, cause you don't play so good.

absolutely right though. There are a lot of *********** here on NVG. If he were to have done that to Hellmuth or a no name. Everyone here would have been loling hooting and hollering.
And its the truth

Well I just re-read and Hastings did insult him by being sarcastic, so she had the right to fight back. No problem there once again, so overall, I don't understand why anyone would attack him or his girlfriend.
Brian Hastings @brianchastings
@callmekatina I was stating an opinion. People tell me I suck every day. I don't care. Lighten up.

Re: ***OFFICIAL WSOP SWEAT THREAD***
I am shocked and baffled as to how you made such a deep run?
Did you make any other ****** plays like this earlier in the tournament?
If you didn't, what made you think this was a good spot here? Why now, after 3 days of play do you decide to ship with the worst hand you have seen thus far? There appeared to be little to no thought into what you were doing, you literally just spazzed it off 'take this phil ivey i can do da bluffz'
You used your one time run good and failed to win. You sir, IMO have squandered the best chance of ever winning a bracelet you will ever have.
You also need to keep your girlfriend under control, she made it far worse for you.

He just made a bad play, no need to be pissed about it. Who cares? He made a bad play, he won the hand, it's not as if that situation doesn't happen every day.

Re: ***OFFICIAL WSOP SWEAT THREAD***
Whats interesting to me is more people from 2+2 are talking about this play, rather than the fact that a 2+2 member won that tournament for a package on this site? PTP has about 40pages of love for Tryba, and he didn't even sell his package on there? Link to package below...

Re: ***OFFICIAL WSOP SWEAT THREAD***
Leolauzon, I am in 100% agreement, but come on, the play was atrocious totally and utterly atrocious, I am slightly pissed more having waited up to watch the live stream only for it to not be half as exciting as I'd hoped.
I think around 90% of NVG cares!

I said it was a bad play.
I know people want Ivey to win, but do they realize that Ivey PUSHED BLIND at some point in the tournament. How can you be pissed that someone who pushed blind and was lucky to win the hand, eventually got unlucky? Is pushing blind considered like a great play suddenly?
It's clearly a double-standard.

Re: ***OFFICIAL WSOP SWEAT THREAD***
I agree. It seems like one rule for Ivey and one rule for everyone else. His fan boys still don't seem to get the fact he owes FT mirrions and hasn't paid it back! Probably fearful of him from afar or something. The play I could've understood was him shoving with like a J10s or anything above hoping for a hand like A9/A10 KJ etc to fold, and at least having live cards if called, but to do that with 62 was just plain madness at that stage of a tournament when Ivey is never folding any pair or a premium ace etc. It defied logic, but hey, **** happens.
