Mclean Karr was just eliminated from the tournament. He came by our desk to ask about other events running today.
We asked what happened and he replied, "The donkeys got me."

- In terms of bracelet bet equity and the implicit notion that every event he plays is essentially a winner-take-all for at least a couple million, then its a total slam dunk.

Thus, it serves his purposes to try to get lucky and build up a big stack or to bust so that he can focus on the other tourney he's currently deep in. He probably had less than fifteen minutes to try to accomplish this, so playing (or in this case shoving) every hand is massively +EV for his bracelet bets regardless of whether he busts or runs it up.
I understand that perfectly, and I agree about his equity.

In fact, I'm really surprised that no one doesn't feel even a little uneasy about poker pros entering multiple events at the same time and trying to get lucky. Imagine if a lot of people were doing this and half the players in a given tournament were at the table 15 minutes every 2 hours, and were going all-in every hand during those 15 minutes... Poker would be so well served if it became common practice.

I know it will probably never catch on because not that many players can afford it. But I hope you understand that, while I perfectly understand Ivey's perspective, I don't think it should be considered like a good thing. No hate.

to be fair, pokernews can't report every single hand, maybe PH won a couple small pots.

pokernews haven't been stellar as of yet, but can't be too hard on them imo.

imo its a difficult job that they are doing *decent* at but with their experience they should be doing *great* at it. Im only watching to rail viktor blom and ivey and if they win a big pot with two tables left I wanna know about it.
