It's totally understandable that, combined with the slow action and the consequent fact that many casual viewers will be turned off by this, that ESPN will do as much as they can to maximize revenue for as relatively few viewers they have. It's between wasting ad revenue potential on dead table moments and making money.

Hey, I know where you are coming from with your original point. I just think it takes more than listening to a very well informed broadcast by a top level pro to turn fish/exploitable players into winning regs. If livb not only gave his analysis, but also gave you a cr membership, told you what videos to watch, told you what software to buy, and then coached you for a month, then I would 100% agree with you

Otherwise, I think just the analysis on its own will turn fish/uniformed players into complaining fish/regs with leaks. It takes that extra work to really complete the transformation.

Well, there are a few people who don't want anyone else to learn what they themselves at one point did not know and had to learn from someone/some source.

But, I will say, there is a debate as to what will make for better overall ratings - commentator's like Esfandari (solid but not spectular analysis, but much easier for casual viewers to understand/follow) or someone like Busquet (Spot-on analysis that's quite insightful, but much harder for a casual viewer to understand).

There's a reason John Madden was the highest salaried announcer. If analysis only was what matter, Ron Jaworski would be the most sought after guy and Troy Aikman would have been demoted to high school football a long time ago.
