Forget retaining, they won't even understand it in the first place. I have to explain what he's saying to my wife the times she's been watching as well.
Esfandari does a much better job taking the same relative concepts and explaining them in language for the truly recreational player / casual viewer, but of course it quite as good. If you went 1-10 on "pure analysis" and "ability to explain in a way that casual views can follow", I think it'd be:
Olivier Busquet - Analysis 10, Causal Viewers: 2
Esfandari: Analysis 8, Casual Viewers: 8
And of course, Hellmuth would be: Analysis 0, Casual Viewers can relate: 10 - random off-topic stories or analysis as simple as "re-raise pre-flop, must be big hand, ZOMG it wasn't Aces, wow that's very gutsy!" is pretty easy to understand and folow
