Now, let's assume that you have 9 Americans at the final table with no personality OR that you have 9 Russians at the final table with no personality. Which table is going to get higher ratings in this country? Obviously the one with 9 Americans. Human nature is such that we are generally more interested in people who are like us than those who are different. So if you've got some random guy from Texas at a final table then you've got a whole bunch of viewers in Texas saying "Hey this guy is from here, that could be me." You aren't going to get that with a player from Russia.
Dude let it go. You are way off base. It's poker, no one really cares about nationality for the most part and it's on ESPN/ESPN2/ESPN3 plenty of people are going to watch. The channel sells itself. People are not going to refuse to watch because there are more foreigners. The entertainment from this game comes from the players some but for the most part it comes from the cards. The bad beats, the coolers, the bluffs, etc. This is why people watch. Nationalities don't matter. Even the $$$ the are playing for provides instant drama no matter where you are from.
