Reading some of the comments at the beginning of this thread about a boring FT makes me shake my head.

Quality-wise this will probably be the best FT in a looong time (if people like Lamb, Heinz, Collins make it). Young, international, interesting players...def looking forward to it.

I don't think they are banning cell phones for that reason. I think I heard the other day that its more for the speed of play and to create table talk.

yeah and now true leveling between the players can occur... we could see some sick hands after this break with the November 9 so close

agree. watching famous pro like Allen Cunningham folding every hand is really not that interesting.

hmm.. what happened to the prize pool? in 2009, every november niner got at least 1mil. now, only 8. 9th will get ~700k.
and I think the size of the field is not the answer since the first and second prizes are almost the same (8mil and 5mil).
weird.

They paid 50 more people this year than 2010 and 2009.

they made it BETTER structured so the jumps made sense and for ITM you got a bigger raise... who cares whether 9th gets 782k or 1M, doesn't really matter
