John Murphy was fun to watch during the 04 main event. A quick google search shows he still plays poker and has results as late as 2019. I just feel like his name has not come up whatsoever in any sort of capacity since that year.
The crew was pretty cool too. I could be wrong but I think they drifted apart somewhat quickly. Dutch Boyd seems to still carry the shadow of PokerSpot with him wherever he goes. He did stream on Twitch a few years back and the streams were pretty solid ... he gave insight on the decisions he was making during tournaments and told some good stories from back during the boom. He was also not afraid to share with his viewers how difficult it is being a pro and even though he is a 3 time bracelet winner with millions of dollars in winnings, most pro's including himself, have nowhere near the amount of money you think they do. This could be based on bad gambling habits, unpaid debts, makeup etc. He was actually working as a dealer at the Wynn before the pandemic hit. I do recall him telling a story about Scott Fischman having a total meltdown at the WSOP. I forget what year but probably upwards of 10 years ago? He claimed Dutch was stealing things form his room and that he was being cheated by other players signaling to each other during events to conspire against Fischman. I really haven't heard his name since that interview years back so I do hope he is doing okay.
