1 of the meanest guys I have ever had the displeasure of playing with. Twice was enough to last a lifetime.

Criticized every player that beat him in a sizable pot. Called people stupid and clueless and a bunch of other names. Had a very nasty attitude both times I played with him. Didn't even know he was well-known until he walked away from the table and someone pointed him out. Table consensus was he was arrogant and we were all beneath him.

That's about it.

wasnt amnon charged with trying to grow weed in a warehouse in downtown NYC? what kind of a moron attempts something like that? of all places to get a grow operation going, he does it in the busiest part of one of the most densely populated cities in the world. what did he expect to happen? he always seemed like a bit of a dick, too. just watch the episodes of high stakes poker he was on. complete tool.

I had the pleasure/displeasure of playing on his table at the WSOP some years ago for 3 or 4 levels so 6-8 hours. Got similar impression as above and not surprised he is alleged to be involved in criminal activity. What made it even worse that we had a fan boy or two at the table. Still cringe about it to this day.

Poker was just one of his many media stunts, he's smart enough to realise it wasn't a profitable, or viable, way to make a living, and I don't think he ever intended to do that anyway.

He raises money for charity, and is still pretty active making videos on Youtube on various topics.

I'm not sure how much hes making doing other stuff, but he did and was probably quite easily capable of continuing with SNE what at the time was like $100-120K? But he lost his Team Online Pro status, either because Belgium got some regulation that they're not allowed in Stars anymore, or the angling of Stars he did with his 100% rakeback.

He doesn't seem like a guy who is motivated by money (or short term money) anyway. I think he considered poker 'completed' after reaching SNE, doing 1M hand challenge and getting Online Pro status, so he probably just decided to move onto next computer game

If they did a whole documentary about the ppl in this thread who have fell off it would prob be very interesting and show the Darker side of poker (Dan Colman)...

Dealt to Eric Baldwin at a WSOP event just recently [On first recollection, it was either the $1500 or 6-max]. So yeah, he's still playing.

I interpreted his mention of Dan Coleman in regards to his shunning of media attention and not wanting to promote poker due to its "dark side".
