Hasn't played much live poker recently by the looks of it:

I heard that he's a massive sports gambler, mostly horse racing I think, how he's doing with that I don't know.
Pretty sure that many years ago, perhaps 20, he actually had a spell as an on course bookie.

Marc Goodwin must be getting on a bit now, perhaps in his mid sixties?
Had a good PLO result just two weeks ago in Blackpool, England.

For those of you not familiar with Blackpool, it's nickname used to be "The Las Vegas of The North" (it's in North West England), but it is nothing like Las Vegas!
It is actually pretty terrible, but terrible in a
good way.
If you are from overseas, USA, Italy, anywhere really, and you want to visit a place that is incredibly typical old school English, to the point of it being stuck in a time warp,
then I would actually recommend a 3 to 4 day stay in Blackpool as it is fun, and you'll get the true English experience, from the food to the entertainment and nightlife.
There is not much poker there apart from the venue where Marc just played.
One thing that is world class there is The Winter Gardens and Blackpool Opera House, which are the two things that have a similarity with Vegas, plus you have the Blackpool Tower.

Bit of a diversion from the topic, but wanted to mention Blackpool as if you are a poker player visiting the UK to play and want to experience something very different during your trip, try Blackpool. But only in the summer, it can have quite a depressing feel to it outside of the summer season when there are not many visitors.
