Was talking about the old days with some friends today and davidross who wrote the famous "playing online poker for a living" 2+2 thread came up. Does he still play?

I've wondered this myself. I think he got crushed when the games got tough and gave up and disappeared.

Couple of years ago i was in Prague for the EPT, playing 100-200 crowns game (something like 5-10 usd) no limit game. Suddenly, Dario comes to the table with 100bbs buyin. Grinds for couple of hours, playing very seriously. His stack went down to about 12k and he didn't rebuy. He busted and was very upset, left immediately.

I was very surprised, still remember his shipping bracelets and going deep everywhere, playing superloose on HSP, 4betting K7o etc. And to go from those heights to barely having 1 buyin for 1knl game...This was hard to watch.

I noticed in Theo Tran's hendon mob, he does seem to play in tournaments at wsop, borgata and florida etc but many of these events are the lower stakes like 400 and 565 etc.

Does anyone know if Nam Le, JC Tran and those guys play cash games as their regular game and play tournaments sparingly? It also seems like Carlos Mortensen mainly grinds tournaments in vegas and nothing else?

Im wondering do these guys play cash like 5/10 nl etc?

Sumeet used to play high stakes, travel to events, and was known by many in poker. Seemed to be a respectable dude. It's been many years since he disappeared from the poker community, but when he left he owed at least a few people some money, myself included. Has anyone heard from him? I'm just curious if he has any interest in making it right. For the record he owes me $20,000. This is one of the few places I could think to ask. Maybe some of the "old timers" have some knowledge on the topic

I don't think that's him. Sumeet would be in his mid-30s now. The "Sumeet Batra" who is now VP at the Boys and Girls Club was in university from 1987-1999 and appears to be at least 50 years old, while the person being referred to in this thread was attending Texas Tech University in the mid-2000s.
