Unfortunately, this type of oversight of this forum will probably lead to its demise. The greatest threads in NVG history started with seemingly stupid or inane OPs, like "real reason why durrrr is losing the durrrr challenge" (triple-range merged, obv.) and "Will Cat Make the Jump?" (don't even remember the original purpose).

Really, no important topic ever gets bumped off the first page because invariably every single person reading the thread will give his or her 2 cents, even if it's the same 2 cents 90 other people have ever given.

one of the first things I noticed when I started lurking here. someone would have the silliest premise, theory or idea and often times it would lead to great conversation or lulz. the ones that didn't died.

also, +1 for the grandiose wording by baudib

I'm reading the JM threads, and I'm slightly frustrated.

Everyone is referring to "multi-accounting", when what JM did was to adopt someone else's account, which is a subtlely different thing. This is important because to me, ma-ing on a multi-skin network is fundamentally different than on Stars or FT, which have only a single skin.

I'd like to suggest a term for this from horse-racing, where a substitutied horse is called a "ringer". So playing on another person's account could be called "ringer-ing" or RR for short.

Thoughts?
