NVG sees a lot of posts, and the more new threads we have, the harder it is for people to see all of the various topics that can happen in a day in this high traffic forum. To help curtail this, new threads that don't have a ton of news attached to them, or are not great long term discussion topics are often deleted or quickly locked.

But, there's a lot of knowledge here, and just because your question isn't necessarily a great long term topic, doesn't mean you shouldn't get to ask it. That's what this thread is for. Good sample questions for this thread:

1. Does anyone know why X didn't play in event Y?

2. How is X playing on Pokerstars? Aren't they American?

3. Does anyone have a link to that video where X reads Y's soul?

and so on and so forth. NVG, help us out, use this thread to ask questions, and, if you know the answer, please chime in answer a few questions as well.

Usual NVG rules apply. Do not treat this thread as an opportunity to troll people asking questions. If you don't like their question, don't respond.

This thread is a nice idea in theory, but the biggest problem with this specific forum is the 4000 already stickied or perpetually bumped superthreads and the 1000 posts in each of them. I really think that another superthread (pinned or otherwise) is overkill...

This is a good idea, I remember Dungeons and Dragons forums had a similar thread called something like "make a simple question, get a simple answer" and it worked great. I'll try to post a link later if only to have as example.

Unfortunately, this type of oversight of this forum will probably lead to its demise. The greatest threads in NVG history started with seemingly stupid or inane OPs, like "real reason why durrrr is losing the durrrr challenge" (triple-range merged, obv.) and "Will Cat Make the Jump?" (don't even remember the original purpose).

Really, no important topic ever gets bumped off the first page because invariably every single person reading the thread will give his or her 2 cents, even if it's the same 2 cents 90 other people have ever given.

I just got an Iphone and I am using poker journal now (which may be the most expensive app ever lol) and seems a lot nicer then the one I had on my Android but more complicated as well. Does any one have suggestions or tips on best use. Or can anyone let me no how "live" works opposed to "completed" I had a session last night I started live but could not figure out how to go back in and finish it.
