The spouse fully acknowledges the debt is owed but just doesnt feel like paying it, and when brought up w the gamerunner they said to not come to game if youre uncomfortable or would cause a scene playing with someone who owes you.

At this point no charging back has occurred, and you dont plan on returning to game. You cant confirm if this is true but apparently the game runner + spouse owe a lot of ppl in the local community

If they’re trying to screw you over, get your $ asap. spouses aren’t legally on the hook for each other’s debt but you have to get what’s yours and let them sort it out themselves

fine imo if non-payment is clearly intentional and you have no other way of collecting. it has to be a last resort option though

IANAL but actually the spouse may be on the hook. The debt could be considered a community debt. But even if not the spouses interest in community assets could be encumbered. Technically he might not be held liable but their joint assets could be.

@op...it would be very specific to the situation but in general I would say don’t do it. It might even be illegal.

not to get thread sidetracked but i looked into it a bit more and you’re probably right; in certain states (incl. NV) debts incurred as part of the marriage (community debt) can even be divided by the two via divorce. that said, it’s unlikely private poker game losses are counted as community debt

So playing plo would you say it's ok to question someone's play in chat if it gets them to play worse? It's like tapping the glass, but they never scatter. They just try harder and harder to beat you. Poker is also a psychological game, if we can get some one off their game shouldn't we do it? I dont mean personal insults but maybe things like lol when a guy makes a bad play or something like "guy shoves a flush draw on oaied board lol". What do u guys think.

I think it's fine. Not my style, but nothing immoral about it. 15 years ago, the chat was mostly wishing cancer on mothers and death by fire.

It's fine if you do it right. Anything that adds flavor to the game is good

As long as you don’t tap the glass too hard.

I would also use caution as some of what you say will give your opponents insight into how you think and how sophisticated you are. Of course, you could always use this to your advantage, too.

Is Ike Haxton a massive fish? Looked up his names on Stars (Ike Haxton and PhilIvey2694) and his Sharkscope ability is a lowly 73! For reference, every high stakes tournament endboss I know has a skill of at least 90, and most are 95+

Is he the best tournament player right now? Every final table on TV at WPT events seem to have him. He's the best WPT player of all time, right? I'm excited to see what he does at the WSOP this year. How he plays the WPT and his results are pretty nuts.

"Official Short Questions/Answers Thread" reminds me of the information desk at the airport in Airplane movie where there are line of people to ask a question to the clerk. First customer (male) asks "What is the fastest animal?" Clerk answers "The cheetah, Next." Second customer (female) asks "Should I fake my orgasms?" Clerk answers "Yes. Next."

No idea which documentary bodgy23 means.

Seriously though, enjoy, and consider the unofficial "sequel", Bet Raise Fold, directed by Jay from 2 months 2 million, where a lot of the people from the house and the A. E. Jones house are interviewed a couple of years down the line.
