So you rolled over Stars 5 years ago and now the only reason you want to make good is because you might not be able to play at FTP? Yeah, I'd say I hope you get banned from FTP as well.

Sorry if its answered allready but will we be able to see our transaction history?
Im asking this because a friend of mine send me some dollars just before ftp went down and none of us can remember how much it was...

I am sure they are going to check both player pools for players who managed to do something like this.
Not so sure they will be likely to forgive and forget.

What happens to those FTP accounts?
my guess would be, the ban in conjunction with account closure has to do with first deposit bonus / rakeback deal? So you might be able to argue to get it reopened if you do not aks for a first deposit bonus... Why would you be banned for life if you close your account, they should be happy to have you back?

I don't think we realize how easy we have things in the world of unregulated (and I DO mean unregulated) internet poker. IRL, if you become a "persona non grata" from ANY casino (in the UK at least), well...good luck with getting back in to a casino from a completely different company at the other end of the country! lol

If you request to have your account closed (even for no reason at all) they close it and you are never allowed to play on pokerstars again. I did this before I even knew How to play poker, because I played for few hours lost $200 and didnt think I would ever want to play poker. But since then I learned the game and have been playing on FTP poker for more then two years with no issues. Thats why I think it's not fair to ban me from FTP now since I closed my account on pokerstars long time ago. And I'm sure lots of other people have similar issues. But we should all wait until pokerstars releases more information.

question for op:

will you do something about the traditionally awful customer service of ftp?

as for the ban / self exclution:

self exclution: the reason this feature exists is to protect problem gamblers from themselves. Yes, poker players are a different bread and use this for other reasons, apparently avoiding bad beats and disliked software being prominent ones. Due to the first group the standard approach will be to exclude players form both sides (because they open themselves to legal action). As the second group is well known to Pokerstars there will be exclutions as Lee hinted at and will be probably dealt with on a case by case basis...

ban: A ban by a poker site is not "punishment". They are not in the business of punishing people, they are a business. As a busniess they get to choose (within parameters of course) with whom to do business. If a company came to the decission they do not want to do business with you and then acquire another company, well thats tough luck for you!

I think people banned on FTP will have an easier case to get their ban reevalued than people banned from PS, due to the fact that the FTP players were not banned by PS, so overturning that decission does not hurt them. People banned from PS should probably not hold their breaths for a fresh start on FTP2...
+1 I like this a lot.

uhhh...u might wanna check your sources
08-06-2012 , 04:22 AM
I already checked my sources though in reading the whole thread and articles there was nothing that stated once full tilt poker reopens what will happen to us players access to the site other than not being allowed to play for real money. I want to know if we will be able to use the old play money tables they had and I found nothing

you can probably extrapolate from what Americans are able to do on Pokerstars; they will be able to do the same thing on FTP...

Will you announce when the deal has been officially closed and the 90day period will start?

Hi all -
Very briefly:

Q: Will PokerStars and Full Tilt have separate player pools ("liquidity") or a single shared player pool?

A:
PokerStars and Full Tilt will have separate player pools. If you are at a Full Tilt table, you will not be playing against PokerStars players, and vice versa.

Best regards,
Lee Jones

Hi lee, can you comment more on the ban situation? Unless you don't have any new info on that?

Yes, please. Can you be more specific about ban situation?Especially for players who banned from FTP, before Black Friday.

Now, we learned FTP and PS will have separate player pools. So it would be unfair if PS ban players who banned from FTP, before Black Friday. They already won't play at FTP.

Thank you.

I think he meant the part about Full Tilt reopening tomorrow, which it is not.

and forgive me if im wrong, but i think he misread (misinterpreted?) the OP's meaning of 'With 1 more day left til ft reopens '.

Rather than, 'there is one more day left until FTP opens,' i think he meant ' When there is one more day left until FTP opens.'
