I realize the ivey /dwan stream is a stream so normally should go in other forum and not NVG, but man this is a huge event and beyond thread worthy in my opinion.

I didn't move the other thread and have no personal opinion on that. But starting a new thread in NVG after another thread was just moved out of to the correct subforum isn't cool. I gave loctus the benefit of the doubt that he didn't see the other thread and didn't use the search function.

I was just suggesting that there should be an NVG thread for this event. the other one is in youtube/twitch stream thread which get 22 views per day.

This is not your daddy's cash game stream It could turn out to be pretty epic.

The decision that stuff like this or the Joey and Polk threads belong in a low traffic forum now has been made significantly above my pay grade.

It makes no sense why the sweat thread for this is buried in a forum nobody cares about, or ever will care about.

I have no opinion on whether it's a good plan or not, but perhaps this is an effort to create a second strong forum.

One suggestion I made with this is to make it a subforum (real or "fake" which just provides a link up top) of NVG so people can find it easier from here. At least temporarily.

That forum has 20 viewers right now at 5:40AM CT. At most times it has 1 or 2 viewers.

So I wouldn't say there isn't a way to make people care about that forum.
There's also zero question that thread would have gotten significantly more attention in NVG.

i took that opportunity to make an obvious joke that the mod was white knighting for hitler

i got banned for a month for this, seems pretty draconian, whosnext has a history of short fuses and quick bans over meaningless things but this time it really takes the cake

as it's wsop season, i have a lot of financial transactions going on, i've staked a few players, was in the midst of discussing staking some more, i'm also owed a balance well into 4 figures via the sportsbetting crew, of which i'm an active member

i'm sure we can all agree that whosnext wasn't genuinely white knighting for hitler and that was an obvious joke, he may not have found it funny, but this is pretty absurd to ban me for a month over this - i am appealing the decision, i'd also like whosnext to lose his mod priviledges, having someone who acts this way in a position of power is not good for the community

A month is a long ban, for sure. But at the same time, the actual wording is a little more...personal than you mention in your post.

"this mod of all mods" doesn't make for the lightest of jokes. Kind of a "laughing at you" rather than a "laughing with you" vibe, if that makes sense.

I'm not saying that means a month is (or isn't) justified; just offering a different perspective.

I believe you're going a little astray here IMO, for a couple of reasons. First of all, this isn't the right venue for such a request. The only ones who can do this are the new owners. Secondly, even if one was to grant that a month is excessive, an instant demodding seems even more so.

Best of luck to you. I'd suggest slowing your roll on that latter request, try to keep emotion out of this (not implying you haven't thus far for the most part), and make sure you don't use this account to circumvent the ban by posting on other matters. Just some suggestions to improve your odds here.
