There is a little truth to that. Sometimes it's not easy deciding what belongs in IP, and what belongs in NVG. As you can see here, even mods don't always agree on that.
Here's the way I see it, FWIW.
If someone has an issue with a poker site flaw, it belongs in IP. If it's a personal issue - IE locked account, missing money, etc. - usually in its own thread. If it's a problem with the site in general, it belongs in the appropriate site thread, if there is one. But this is one of the trickiest thread types, because sometimes when a major site makes a big change people aren't happy with, they'll start a thread here and it gets left, because it falls under "Poker News", or "Poker Views". Tough call sometimes.
If there's been some kind of specific cheating scandal, I think that is more of an NVG topic. Also a tough call once in a while.

Different threads, different forums, etc. But the Mike Postle thread was pretty obviously a major story from the get-go. The thread you're talking about isn't quite the same.
