Re: ****OFFICIAL NVG MODERATION DISCUSSION THREAD****
I think you guys are cute that you believe that I take this much for seriously that I actually do. Especially from two guys that I have never infracted.
I have actually been on a campaign to lighten the NVG moderation up a bit as NoahSD and RJ can attest to. When I ban for a "ban" post it has never been for more than 1 day so exaggeration is the key to good storytelling. Any time I ban for more than a day I leave a note on the account. Don't see any for you guys.
Enjoy 2p2.

You were right when you said this isn't a democracy. Why would you expect a privately owned company to be run like an elected government?

You also seem to have your own agenda on what we should all discuss in NVG. Having said the mods are too agressive at locking threads, deleting content etc, you claim that they don't do enough of it in pursuit of a positive poker image spin:

It feels like you also have an agenda against PP:

lol at 'don't mean to bash him'. PP works hard across the forums. I agree he can be a bit abrupt at times (which might have something to do with the amount of crap he has to scoop up from the 2+2 streets on a daily basis) but I rarely feel his judgement is way off mark.

That's good news. Thanks.
But I do now feel like that guy standing in front of the tank in Tiananmen Square.

Re: ****OFFICIAL NVG MODERATION DISCUSSION THREAD****
I was not the person that deleted it but this is what we refer to as a polititard derail. We have a separate politics forum to contain these discussions. When a political/non poker or gambling post is made in NVG it is usually deleted if we can get to it in time. That is, before the thread is completely derailed, and the thread is irreparably lost to the derail.

Re: ****OFFICIAL NVG MODERATION DISCUSSION THREAD****
reino, NVG mods will delete up to a couple hundred posts on a good day, though the average might be more like 10 or so. That's a heck of a lot of PMs to send out, and it snowballs, as people tend to respond back. If your post was deleted and you didn't get a warning or infraction, just be glad and let it go.

maybe you care to explain why you deleted more than a dozen posts this morning in the 22Q Foundation thread
is that part of your campaign to 'lighten up' NVG moderation ?

Re: ****OFFICIAL NVG MODERATION DISCUSSION THREAD****
I'm more interested in why MM banned two posters in that thread, one for criticising 2+2 (or PP), and the other for criticising MM himself. It seems wrong to ban posters for those reasons unless they go to extremes such as making up deliberate lies.

I did, in the 22Q thread where he banned them, but he didn't reply.
Actually he went on to ban a third person in the thread for insulting him (although I could see more of a justification for that particular one)!

Re: ****OFFICIAL NVG MODERATION DISCUSSION THREAD****
Well, Mason owns the site, so basically he can do whatever he wants.
Asking volunteer green mods why the site owner did what he did is basically going to get shrugs.

2+2 has a long history of allowing vigorous debate and criticism. If someone does not have the capability to keep the discussion civil and crosses the line to direct, vile personal insults or gross inaccuracies, at our discretion they lose the right to post here.
People also have the ability to change their mind and correct these actions. If management is satisfied that they have done so, they may be let back in.

In case anyone gets curious, the ATLarge thread was deleted because you have to pay to join the organization. Free advertising = no no.

props to PP for starting a thread about the shooting in Vegas today in NVG
then locking and moving it
relocated to the ever popular ghost town 'Vegas Lifestyles'

Do you know what your saying? Or are you just another assumptive pee like the goofball that posted in my thread before it was deleted?
And before you conjure up some wonderfully witty response, you should know that I am in the golf business and have nothing to do with casinos ( you know what happens when people assume amirite?).

Didnt move or copy it genius. They had their own going. No need for two threads on the topic. Also several folks reported it and thought it didn't belong in NVG since it wasn't poker news. You are alone on this.
You didn't even post in it. You seem to be here to troll us.

Glass houses, stones, etc.
If you weren't so quick to make assumptions that everyone thinks you're involved in casino management (I'm pretty sure the one reply you received was at least partially, and probably totally, tongue-in-cheek), you might realize that you were being told this isn't really the forum for discussion of how good or bad a given casino is - that's what B&M is for. You'll actually find there already is a thread about Revel where people are doing exactly that in this forum:
https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/199/poker-venues/
Also, the mods probably felt your particular view wasn't "special" enough to need a new thread; it was fine where you posted it previously.

Re: ****OFFICIAL NVG MODERATION DISCUSSION THREAD****
46&2, get over yourself. What on earth would make you assume I could care enough about you to make any assumptions about who you are. I have no idea who you are, I don't care, and what possible reason could I have to think you are in the golf, casino, or any other business? I offer you a helpful response and you attack me. I am pretty insulted by your post and I would appreciate an apology.

No, it really wasn't, it was a blog post. And NVG is not your blog. I'm the mod who deleted the thread, although I'm sure almost any other mod would have done the same (or locked it).
You're not alone, but the "view" in NVG is routinely misinterpreted by people who think any vague poker related thought that pops into their thread is a view that needs to be posted in NVG. That happens a lot, and we lock/delete most of them, because honestly no one gives a crap and if every single random neural firing of posters was given a view thread NVG would become a garbage dump of unreadable threads.
As others have pointed out, your thread about a family vacation in a casino belongs in either LVL or B&M, but certainly not in NVG.
