The news is old, but is the episode a rerun? Said new from 2013 in the show info. I couldn't find much else about it except it is from Season 6, which appears to be the most recent season.

I guess this isn't exactly a democracy, but I feel a lot of material is censored from being posted here on a daily basis...which is mystifying when you look at the front page of NVG which seems to be littered with scammer threads

After over 5 years of lurking here, I think its safe to say this place is not a very good billboard for encouraging new players to take up poker

I'm a new poster but I've already had 2 (72) hour bans for 'trolling'...one for suggesting another poster get banned...and another I don't even know why

Well, the intent isn't to portray poker to the rest of the world in a favorable light. At least, that is not the intent of NVG as far as I am aware. It's to give the 2p2 forum users a place where they can specifically discuss poker related News, Views, and Gossip.

And if you weren't aware that suggesting that another poster be banned is against NVG rules, then you haven't read the NVG rules sticky, which would explain why some of the decisions don't seem to make sense to you. If you don't want to continue running afoul of the mods, I suggest reading those rules.

the front page of NVG is usually littered with 40%-60% 'scam' related topics on a weekly basis. It's getting old.

I don't see moderators stepping in as often as they should to verify random accusations or editing personal information when it's appropriate. You have a responsibility to put out fires before they get out of control.

The policies here seem to be enforced on a selective basis (at best) when it concerns sensitive subject matter. Various people seem to be off limits. Content is deleted on a regular basis.

NVG isn't exactly helping the resurgence of poker in the United States. A lot of that is due to bad judgement by moderators allowing these types of 'scam' threads to dominate.

If by some miracle of nature, online poker is legalized in the next 10 years in the United States, the 1st thing all the noobs will see on Google is 'scam scam scam' right next to links from 2+2

Scams are relevant poker news, and as long as they are going on they will have a place in NVG.

If you believe policies need to be enforced more regularly I suggest you use the report function to alert all moderators to potential issues. Mods don't read ever post in this forum.

The front page of news sites is always covered with stories about death and murder and scandal. So I guess that's all there is in the world.

I agree with everything you say about PP. I think most people are afraid to say anything because they don't want to be banned. He's so power mad that there's no telling what he'll do.
