I would like the mods to note that the thread title has confused this poster into thinking that charlie might be a pedophile. I doubt this poster thinks doug is being accused of being the pedophile. Garrick you have been mislead by the title. It should say "Doug Polk wrongly accusing of a child rape victim of being a pedophile and gets his internet following to ruin the victims life. Its not a thread about not knowing who is the pedophile. There is not pedophile in the thread. Its an EXTREMLY DEFAMITORY AND DAMAGING ACTION AND ACCUSTATION.

I just deleted another lengthy jbouton post in this thread about the Carrell-Polk "situation" and how mods need to view some videos.

In case there is any doubt, NVG mods are not tasked with taking sides on this or any other "controversy" in the poker world. In fact, I would argue that the forum is better off if NVG mods refrain from taking sides. (Of course, jbouton's initial demand that NVG mods perma-ban any accounts that support Doug Polk and/or criticize Charlie Carrell is ridiculous and a non-starter.)

Subsequent posts along those lines in this thread will be deleted as well.

if we did allow late edits then it should include a manner for people to see what was originally posted

there's more at stake here than koshko's grammar, a lot of people have large sums wagered/staked/etc based upon what is publicly posted in the forum - these wagers were setup with the knowledge that a post couldn't be edited after a token period of time

we're opening up to a lot of possible freerolls and people backing out etc, even today the viffer/jungleman dispute is being arbitrated by forum posts they both made in 2007

please do not under any circumstances increase editing time - it'll **** up a whole lot legacy stuff here

I understand how that thread would certainly gain more traction in NVG. But if a thread about the future of streamed poker games isn't best suited for the streaming forum, which thread would be?

Apologies for posting this here but if someone makes an out of line, personal libelous, insulting attack on another member in OOT, how can one go about reporting it and getting the offender at least temp banned?
