If something that mild was met with enough people reporting it to warrant a deletion then there’s no point. The post directly above mine was multitudes more inflammatory

I didn’t see the other posts. I saw the flagged post and decided it warranted a deletion. After that I carried on with my Sunday. If you take issue with a post, please report it. That’s what others do.

If that post (which is by all accounts mild) is deleted while the rest of that thread is allowed in its current state it is impossible to have a discussion with opposing viewpoints. All the angry posters will report my or similar posts and they’ll be deleted. I’m not reporting anyone else’s posts because I don’t see an issue with people voicing their opinions

I said “you are so woke” in response to a poster who directly above my post is insulting a guy over the course of a paragraph and has been for the course of the thread. Again, I have no issue with that, I have issue with my comment not being able to exist alongside it because people are reporting it and mods are deleting posts without reading the thread


On a basic level, how was my post deemed inappropriate within the context of the current discussion being allowed? How can my post be marked as inappropriate without being privy to prior discussion in the thread? Even just reading the quote my post was in direct response to it would seem an unbalanced action to delete my post and leave the quoted one

If you don't see an issue with somebody stealing your wallet, nobody is forcing you to file a police report. That doesn't mean the police won't do something if somebody reports that you stole their wallet.

Posts get deleted if they violate the guidelines and a) somebody reports them or b) a mod randomly stumbles over them. Apparently none of those two happened regarding the posts in front of yours. I just took a look at the thread and realized it's beyond salvageable without deleting a bunch of posts.

FWIW, that was the only post report in that thread in the last 2 months, and it was by a poster that hasn't posted in it for a couple of months. So the good news is that while that poster might have been motivated by their own biases, it doesn't appear to be an angry poster getting back at you or wanting to silence you.

And therein lies part of the problem. Not that I'm blaming you; I just mean that it can be difficult to make everyone happy when some people are good with a back-and-forth like that, while others are not.

I could see how a busy volunteer mod might see the first post report for that thread in two months, see a low content three word response to a much longer post, quickly delete the reported post, and move on. Not the way things are always done, but sometimes mods are busy and move quickly.

I don't think the back-and-forth there is necessarily problematic in the right thread, but it seems like a political derail of that thread to me, so I've reported the post that I think starts the tangent. Up to NVG mods if they agree; sometimes they decide to let stuff like that go depending on the thread.

No doubt you have read "NVG Rules and Guidelines (Please Read This Before Posting)", as the thread has been a basic rules sticky here for fourteen years. Within it is a post that includes:

The general system, on the whole, seems to have worked reasonably well over the years. However, if you believe there should be a fundamental overhaul, then that thread also invites you to start a relevant thread in About The Forums, where a thorough debate may be started.

If you neither want to report others' posts, nor start a thread in ATF, then I'm afraid you may have to accept that what you have seen is what you'll continue to get.

There are literally hundreds of words/phrases in our filter. I'd say at least 99% of them are because of spam - things like "caps aqq" "deserts afaritours" "my coine", but with the spaces removed. The other <1% are typically offensive phrases, slurs, etc.

Now, if you'd genuinely like to find out about a specific word/phrase that the above doesn't answer, LMK what it is by inserting a space or a period in the middle of it when you type it. If instead you want to continue to play games, then this will likely be the end of yet another account for you, because I really don't have the patience for your bullshit anymore.

Always Got that...and today about 2 hours ago I have found in the trnsaction history is written minus 490 dollars... But I didnt play, didnt seat... Didnt get the ticket..
