FWIW, that was the only post report in that thread in the last 2 months, and it was by a poster that hasn't posted in it for a couple of months. So the good news is that while that poster might have been motivated by their own biases, it doesn't appear to be an angry poster getting back at you or wanting to silence you.

And therein lies part of the problem. Not that I'm blaming you; I just mean that it can be difficult to make everyone happy when some people are good with a back-and-forth like that, while others are not.

I could see how a busy volunteer mod might see the first post report for that thread in two months, see a low content three word response to a much longer post, quickly delete the reported post, and move on. Not the way things are always done, but sometimes mods are busy and move quickly.
I don't think the back-and-forth there is necessarily problematic in the right thread, but it seems like a political derail of that thread to me, so I've reported the post that I think starts the tangent. Up to NVG mods if they agree; sometimes they decide to let stuff like that go depending on the thread.
