All mods received a summons to an emergency meeting at 2+2 Towers. After 3 hours of heated debate, they came to the conclusion that a ban was the only option.

Realised a long time ago NVG is the most toxic forum on 2+2 no point trying to fight it.

All moderators including myself are volunteers. We don't read every thread or post and depend on the members to self regulate with the reporting function.

This forum is what the members make it.

if above is true, I'm curious as to why my account "Well thought out!" got permabanned a few weeks ago after making my first ever NVG post?

Went from an account being open for maybe close to a year and a total of 10 infraction points (for typing *****, an acronym which was commonly used, as a general expression, way back around the last time I regularly frequented 2+2, but isn't PC anymore I guess, whatever...) to being permanently banned with no explanation...


Disclaimer: As far as I recall my deleted post was somewhat in the beginning of the Eli AMA that he probably should be considered a thief and a scammer and the reason for the book publishing was most likely monetary and therefore lacking the necessary due diligence on the author. Even posted citations from a different thread to back up my claim.

I just looked it up. You were banned by Mason Malmuth on January 20, 2019. No reason was listed for the banning.

Looking at your last post (on January 20, 2019), you correctly remembered that it was in the Eli Elezra AMA thread which Mason was monitoring at the time.

Your post, which was deleted by Mason Malmuth, appeared after cts posted about Elezra's unpaid debt to him. Your post was critical of Elezra and of 2+2 and Mason for agreeing to publish Eli's book.

As everybody undoubtedly knows, Mason is the owner of 2+2. Mason on occasion deletes posts he finds objectionable and in some cases bans posters of said posts. For obvious reasons Mason took special interest in the Eli AMA thread and perhaps (in my humble opinion) over-reacted to posters commenting on/critiquing the surprising cts/eli news.

Is it really "surprising" that a career high-stakes poker player would have outstanding poker-related debts and/or loans? I'm actually surprised Mason let this derail topic spiral out of control, should've had nothing to do with a memoir book published by 2+2 imho.

Therefore I'm not surprised that people who maliciously tried to harm the memoir book, through negative amazon reviews even though they never read the book, or imply Mason should be some kind of moral arbiter of outstanding debts unrelated to a memoir book he published, would be banned.

Was Negreanu banned here? I saw he hasn't posted in close to 3 years and Videopro criticized him hard in the Torreli thread. Was there a falling out between him and 2+2? He had 240 posts between 2014-2016 and then he stopped. Was just curious.

I recently posted a thread about ChicagoJoey reneging on a 10k negative freeroll he took out on himself and Mason deleted it and won't get back to me, why was this? Pretty sure Joe intended on angling me/people with this too and he was an unbelievable jerk to me when I confronted him over phone text message so I want to post this thread so please have Mason pm me asap explaining why thread is deleted or else I'm going to repost, maybe this time with a text message log that makes him look like a monster.
