Since when has France been open to players Outside the EEA ?
(You needed to have EU bank account and be EU resident)

I guess , never.

If there has been any change to the regulations i dont know.
Would be surprised they know what is really happening
= Spain screws France big time on taxing international pool + they even allow
players outside EEA

This

Poker regulation by countries is mostly about three things

1) Tax revenue

2) Tax revenue

3) Tax revenue

Anything else that they say is BS.

They probably just want you to verify ID first.

You can use both accounts at the same time, please find some information regarding your question below:

"Players from “un-regulated” countries (.COM and .EU) able to create a NEW account on the .ES license.
These players not need to be physically located in Spain to create an account and play.
Players able to play on COM/EU and ES simultaneously. "

What a mess indeed.

I haven't really thought of it before but... how did the taxation solution look like prior to today, between FR and ES in mtts for example??
How did it work in practice for players?

And what will now change?

It would be really bizarre, if there was a different taxation system in place that what was previously in use on Stars.FR. Government takes their cut from the rake, and players' winnings are subject to income tax in their home countries. Especially since the site is already live for "ROW", and given that there has been no statements why would taxation be different on .ES/FR and .EU.

It would get really messy if there was some kind of "winner" tax that Spanish government wanted to collect annually or whatever (from other than their own residents). Imagine all the chip dumping that would take place when players who have won, dump to their friends who've had a losing sample in the same period of time to avoid an extra tax for winnings.

let s not pretend a european government cannot do something moronic with online poker, the 2% tax on bets in france has lasted 6 or 7 years already.

So on .FR the rake is between 5 and 11%, depending on buy-in for MTTs
And then withdrawals MAY be taxed, depending on country of the player in question, right? Afaik some euro countries doesnt tax .FR winnings at all
But what about .ES, any different?

All our politicians are dreaming of the United States of Europe.(at least most of them )
Ergo, it can not be that you are taxed differently in a common market. I think there is still need for action in this case and the last word is not yet spoken.

@Stars rep: Please create an FAQ concerning the matter, it looks like 95% of your customers, me included, have questions about it and are unsure what is allowed/possible and what's not. As it stands that is really bad communication.

Covering:

- moving from .com to es/fr --> rules by country
- same for transfers
- same for cash-in/out
- an overview of rake differences
- common taxation questions
- download links
- software rule differences (if any)

Thx, we'd all appreciate it.

I saw a faq thread created by PS France staff concerning this matter. Don't remember which forum but will look for it. Think it was some clubpoker something.

Edit: Found the forum. Its a french forum. http://www.clubpoker.net/forum-poker...-lespagne-faq/

Not sure it is such a 'good read'. It's just Pokerstars PR, avoiding the true answers to the question imo.

Well I was probably one of the first "foreigners" who started to play on thursday last week and was a big fan of being able to play there. By now it's a total regfest, in terms of SNGs at least. 6max Fifty50s with usually 4+ Regs at 3€'s and up. German and Russian Regs that even have a clue of what they are doing. In that term it' s gotten worse pretty much daily and it will probably get worse. Yet no meaningful volume (except between like 8-10pm CET) unless you mix stakes or mix variants. My guess is everyone will clear the first deposit bonus and be gone again because it's not gonna be worth it (since RB will drop from 30%+ to a few % afterwards).
I did expect this to be a lot softer than it is to be honest. Stars.fr back then was a soft Site, even with some foreign players. Speaking for Fifty50s at least. Stars.es surely is beatable, but no braindead moneyprinting, thus I see no specific reason why one should play there except for having good rakeback for a couple months.
