Joao.Cardoso basically is right.
From what i have seen 95%-99% people from other countries is regs.

In my experience it was never a dream market. Maybe if all the countries were ringfenced in the same pool at the same time in the beginning, it could have happened. But there was already several years of a high rake environment (bigger rake % wise, and bigger caps in cash than in the dotcom site), that depleted the occasional players and the weaker serious players.

So regs from other countries should be very selective in the games they play, or they're overestimating their edge in relation to the higher rake. But I agree it's unfair competition to the people that are limited in choice from those selected countries.

The thing is portuguese players dont really have a choice as pokerstars is the only site regulated on our country.

Hopefully that changes one day; Winamax, partypoker, 888 understood to have applied for license.

I have compared the winamax 7 day player averages on pokerscout from now and before they opened for spanish players and it seems like the number has increased by 20% (yes world cup is now done etc, but still a good sign?).

I haven't seen too many spanish players on my tables yet though.

Is winamax now actively advertising in spain, are there TV spots and stuff like that?

Funny thing is that Stars justify all the increase in rake, cuts in rake back, etc etc with the purpose of protecting recreational players, then you open Stars.es and every single non Portuguese, Spanish and French player are regs. This is how the protect the fun players?

In my last tournament at Spanish stars I 3-bet 31 bbs all-in vs. a mini-open with A9, that practically busted me. I have played there two tournaments so far. So, that's about a reg. The Spanish opponents are probably still talking about that imbecile who went all in 10 times in 30 minutes with hands like 33, a6, k3, a9. They probably had a pretty good time.

Why is everyone so afraid of playing online poker with the rest of the world? Crypto options do seem like the best chance for any big changes soon.

Imagine a player pool where:
- 3 countries: Portugal, Spain and France contribute with recreational players.
- The Rest of the World contributes with professional players...

And the rest of the World is pretty big... so now you have the answer

My C-game seems to be pretty tough then. I have an account here but it doesn't mean I have a B-game even, much less an A-game, yet. Learning. I get some tourney action here during day-times, that is hard to get at the other places I play.

So stars.es accepts players from abroad. what about 888 and party? i get an error message about jurisdiction etc when i try to make an account in party.

Party has said explicitly their Southern European network is locked down to just France and Spain. 888's Spanish poker site has been locked down to Spanish citizens for a few years now, and there's been no indication that's going to change.

Hi poker community. First sorry for my bad english. Today I contacted PS support and you can read all in photos above. On PS. es you can play as much as you want $12.50 SnG for $250 but if you win, all tickets after first worth close to nothing! They now force me to aggro throw 1st bullet, or to cheat, to collude with someone for chips and bounty, so I can play my second ticket normally. It's first time that I experience, tickets won in this way will be useless after event. Why they let people who already won to play again, if its like this??? Just want to aware all people on PS. es who want to grind Galactic $12.50 SnG that it is no possible!

After two members from support team who told me that ticket will be gone, nothing to do, next level support (I guess) turn my ticket to 250$ ticket. So you can play but every time you have to manually send email to support to change galaxy ME ticket to regular 250$ ticket

PartyPoker.es will finally introduce Cashback. Up to 25% every week starting on Monday the 10th, but still no information on how the tiers are.
Old already existing points will be converted, but from what I can tell at a very bad rate. Not sure if this is correct, but for me it seems to be only 1% (yes, one) cashback for the old points - did not play a lot though (300€ rake paid) and don't have many points.

just to complete my own post - the old points will be converted at the same rate/tier that you achieve on the first week. Minimum would be that 1% I mentioned, but it can be more (up to 25%) depending on how much you play during the week.

The new point system will give 1 point per € rake and give cashback according to this table:
https://www.partypoker.es/whats-goin...-cashback.html

so you need to rake 1200€ per week to achieve 25% rb

Definitely some shady stuff going on pokerstars mtts, With Brazilian and eastern Europe,

How is it possible there are more Brazilian grinders than .com?

The % of BR/RU we see on the table are way way higher than the % in the lobby...
I strongly suspect stars just seat players from france-spain-portugal together at a higher frequency, or the outside people are exploiting a bug.
It is so exaggerated.
If you have some evidence let me know i will open a post soon with facts.

Hey Guys - It appears that Stars Spain may have changed their Rake Charge to players recently. They used to show it on the site but now do not, does anyone know what they are charging for Rake these days?
