***Official Lock Poker Crisis Containment Thread*** (former Call Out Lock Pros thread)

You represent Lock Poker.
You take a pay cheque from Lock Poker and enjoy all the perks like the upcoming trip to Portugal for all the Lock Pros.
You actively encourage people to play on Lock and promote the company on your twitter account as seen here:

You refuse to use your position at Lock Poker to demand answers for and to help players.
You refuse to take part in the discussions in the Lock Sub forum where players are waiting months for cashouts and in the last week or so have been told their funds are in limbo and they can't cashout the thousands of dollars they have on their accounts which means the company YOU PROMOTE are stealing from the players.

My question to you is, what makes you think it's okay for you to sell action in the marketplace asking for money from the online poker community so that you can play poker and represent Lock at these events?

You were a Full Tilt red pro when ftp stopped operating in June 2011. The similarities between the two companies (towards the last few months of ftp) are there for all to see.

I would have thought that someone who had experienced this all before would see the red flags for what they are and take the correct action.

If the site goes down make no mistake about it. You won't be just someone who was a red pro and didn't know what was going on this time. You won't be viewed as an innocent party. You will be held directly responsible along with the other Lock Pros who still actively promote this site of thieves and your name and reputation, which up to now has been spotless, will be blackened for the rest of your career.

You can ignore this thread just like you ignore all the others. I expect you probably will.

A statement from Lock Poker on 5/9/2013 -KM:

Lock Poker Clarifies P2P Transfer Withdrawal Policy

Curacao May 9th, 2013

Through a detailed investigation over the past few weeks the Lock security team uncovered a large group of persons that were abusing the P2P transfer policy and creating a large network of mule accounts to move and withdraw funds without any play at all taking place.

To deal with this situation a policy change was put into place to clear out the backlog of withdrawals by accounts with little to no play and increase the speed of withdrawals for players taking actual winnings.

Lock has introduced a new cash-out policy for transferred funds which requires a player to accumulate at least 15% in GGR on the funds received via P2P transfer before these funds are cashed-out. Put simply, for every $100 of transferred funds to be withdrawn, $15 of rake or fees will need to be accumulated beforehand.

The policy change was put in place explicitly to put an end to money laundering via Lock's player transfers. Players withdrawing winnings are not affected.

Lock will continue to process withdrawals and work to reduce all withdrawal delays over the coming weeks.

A large amount of mis-information has been spread recently on various poker news sites and forum postings about player funds being lost in recent banking scandals; none of this is true.

I think OP is spot on. Your post says far more about you then it does about the OP.

Pretty obvious you are just some Lock lackey, maybe one of those sorry a** lock pros we are discussing in NVG.

PS In your location, check your spelling. You were either in a big hurry to make this ghost account or you need to learn how to spell

Why is Melanie being held responsible for lock poker's actions. She's just doing what her contract tells her to do.

people who keep honoring their "contracts" with the scum of the poker world deserve to be called out ...

luring people into shady sites, hope these people get called out by everybody at wsop this year..

Melanie Weisner aka Callisto5 continues to represent a shady poker site called Lock Poker that has refused to answer/circumvent players questions regarding the security of their funds and continues to lure gullible folks into Lock poker.

How is op hypocritical are you aware of OP shilling/promoting a predatory business?

What she is doing should be called out, regardless of how many people would do the same thing if given the opportunity..

Furthermore, Weisner is actively involved in selling shares on this forum. This activity requires a great deal of trust and responsibility. So when an issue like this comes up it very much should place her ethics in question.

Pretty sure not all lock pros consistently tweet about lock poker tourneys. The ones who do tweet the standard "come join me in this weeks $109 100k" are responsible for actively luring people onto a site that is broke and wont let them withdraw.

You are obviously connected to Lock and just don't want any people that have a clue enlightening the people that do not have a clue.

I have a better idea, why not follow all the people who follow the lock pros and tweet to those followers was a scum site lock is and scum all lock pros are for conning the uninformed into depositing.

Has Weisner made any more recent tweets mentioning Lock Poker in a positive light?

Someone under contract who performs their job and are completely unaware of the company's problems are a completely diff story.

I feel like she is 100% completely aware of locks downfall. And is still repping which is horrible

But I mean, what about other lock pros. (Bigdogpcket5s, Matt stout Ect) at least they're not. Selling in MP

Selling part of her action and not taking Lock funds as payment is my guess. Click link in OP obv.

+1

How does a lock pro take a half dozen payment methods including multiple online poker sites for payment and not take Lock? She is telling you with 100% certainty Lock is in the gutter and the money on lock is confetti.

Here's a side question. If she were to accept lock money, should she pay out in lock money to that person too if she wins?

The whole purpose of having pros on your roster is to get new players to your site and to portray a trustworthy image so people will feel safe depositing money.

It's not like she is just doing some marketing / consulting work in the back. She is using her own image and visibility in the poker world to acquire new players for LockPoker. If Joe Random signs up because he sees his favorite poker player (Melanie) playing on LockPoker and then gets scammed it kind of is Melanie's responsibility.

That being said: I know various other LockPros who promote the site .. some even have a training site and promote it in their training videos. It seems like poker players just don't care as long as the checks are coming in.

I would snap accept that if I had big money on Lock. Pay her now with Lock, good chance she won't have the option to pay with Lock money by the time the tournament is over. The lock money is confetti anyway. I would be more worried about her paying people with Lock that paid her through another avenue if I was buying a percentage.
