So your hypothesis is that scammers have somehow gained access to the email address support@fulltiltpoker.com and also the user database of Full Tilt?

I know it's easy to send an email from a fake address, but I sent them my documents and got an email back. Just now I verified it was really fulltiltpoker.com and not fuIItiItpoker.com or anything by copy pasting the address into my web browser.

And like I said, I got the email to an address I've only used with full tilt. It's an address with a word and a string of numbers and an unusual email provider after the @ sign. The only way scammers could send a phishing email to it is by having direct access to the full tilt user database (where they would also see real names, usernames, etc).

I have a competing theory to your "scammer hypothesis": a poker site is employing incompetent people. Shocker, I know.

I have a few questions for Shyam.

1) Is Full Tilt going to do away with the two tier system of rakeback? Previously, if you signed up with the “right” affiliate you could enjoy rakeback, whereas if you signed up with the “wrong” affiliate, you were not allowed rakeback. All players should be treated equally.

2) The Full Tilt server used to be temperamental and at times would not allow players from certain areas of the world to sign in. Those already signed in would get booted from the system. If you were unfortunate enough to be playing in a tournament when this happened, your chips would get blinded away while play continued. This happened to me until I discovered a workaround: get a VPN showing my ip address in London. Subsequently when I got booted from the server when signed in from South America, I would quickly switch to the VPN and get reconnected. Once I had the experience of playing head up at a full table in a tournament because seven players were disconnected. Eventually the whole tournament was paused for about an hour until most players were able to reconnect. Even then a small percentage of unfortunate players were not able to sign in and got blinded off. Any idea if this has been fixed or will be fixed by relaunch?

3) Will Full Tilt employees be allowed to play at Full Tilt? Will they be allowed to play at PokerStars? Will PokerStars employees be allowed to play at Full Tilt? If the answer to any of these questions is yes, then what assurances can you give us that these players won’t use their position as employees to gain an unfair advantage?

All accounts WERE treated equal, its the affiliates that pocketed the rakeback of those players that did not get it from FTP, not FTP keeping the money...

I'd guess they will release promotional details/exciting relaunch bonuses every day for the week leading up to the relaunch day of November 6th. (It's November 6th Gus Hansen said in an interview - didn't say first week of November or relaunch by Nov 6th he said relaunch on Nov 6th).

I apologize if this has already been answered, and if it has could someone please inform me. I find it rediculous, although not suprising if FTP 2 relaunches in November with still no official payment process for USA players. IMO there is no way they should be aloud to relaunch without first providing the payment plan for the USA players; in a perfect world we should all be repaid before FTP 2 ever gets to open back up, but I guess that is just way too much to ask for.

relaunch of FTP is totally unrelated to payment of US players (unfortunately). Pokerstars is in charge of FTP and repaying ROW players upon relaunch.
The payment for US players is in the hands of the DOJ. Neither Stars nor FTP have any impact on that whatsoever.

Like the other poster answered, the two events are completely different. Keep in mind the |ROW players are only getting their accounts restored and being able to resume play after being rudely interupted by the DOJ.

Asking to be repaid before FTP2 opens makes no sense at all. The events are not related

it was a DOJ requirement for ROW to be repaid within 90 days, Pokerstars is holding up their end, apparently the DOJ conditions do not apply to themselves... it is not very fair to expect ROW to wait longer just because the DOJ does not get the remission process in order fast enough, you should be happy for your fellow players and complain about the DOJ, not the knight in shining armour that is Pokerstars (ok, can i have rakeback back now?)

question: when full tilt relaunches its going to be pretty much all regulars the first couple days to weeks huh?

so someone like myself who plays on stars if wanted to try full tilt yall would suggest to wait awhile to see how the games are first correct?

I have seen this assumption a lot and I don't share it. Obviously I can only assume myself and I would assume that there will be plenty of recreational and totally new players, based on the assumption that they will unleash a gigantic PR machinery soon.

Obviously the key here is PR:
No/too little/insufficient PR-> mostly regs
good and plently PR -> many regs and many recreational players/fish/beginners/players you are looking for

buying the monitor with points is pretty dumb anyhow. Use the FTP for FT stuff and money to buy real stuff

Hope we start seeing adverts on the tv and other mediums in the next couple of weeks.

If the VIP system is the same then I will of course play the minimum to keep iron man/bc rolling but if it's all regs I will just play elsewhere until they start attracting fish.

I'm not really worried as Stars are ridiculously competent so just thinking out loud.
