I got rakeback through "rakebackpros" (ie, directly through FTP). Will this still be the case? I didn't get rakeback when i signed up for my account and badgered them like a 4 year old child who wanted a stuffed toy

One question... if you do not file for your money back from FTP, will it be there in your account when the site comes back up?

I know you can not play cash poker, but sometime in the future we will be able to.

Answered already, Stars no longer has any obligation to give you back your money. Only the DOJ does, and they wont be depositing your money on FTP/PS.

Not really. As of Black Friday, I had two outstanding withdrawal requests for which FTP couldn't tell me anything. They hired third party processors to handle payment, and had absolutely no idea what the hell they were doing.

Stars was using the same processors. They paid out in 2 weeks. FTP's statements after BF have to be read in the context that they didn't have the money and were looking to delay. There is no reason to believe that this will be an unsolvable problem. The site will not be back up for a minimum of 8 weeks. If you still don't have an answer then, you might consider worrying. In the meantime, just let Stars do their thing.

Apologies if it has been answered. I will be gettin my money through DOJ, that is clear, but what about FTP points? I hope the doj is not responsible for those, I'd rather have them sit in my ftp acct.

Yes, I would, if the sample in question was completely random, with no methodology behind selecting it, like the hands not missing from PTR are.

Quote:
Whether a statistical sample is reliable has to do with how many data points not with what % of the overall population it represents. If I have 150k hands from you when you actually played 100 million hands, and I have 49,999 hands out of their 50k hands played, I'll still have a better idea of what your true winrate is than the guy I only have 49,999 hands on.
Yes you do, and you also have questionable samples for both, since 150K is not necessarily a reliable sample for poker hands (especially Omaha).

Please do not get rid of multi entries. They are so important to allow us to play more of what we like.

People who don't like them an avoid them.

Hi
I had an account in the USA. After Bf I moved to south America
do I still have to go to the remission process or can I just start playing with my balance when FTP relaunches?

Thank you so much.

FTP should get rid of rakeback altogether and go with a reward system that is open to everyone like Stars has. I'm sure there were plenty of people that didn't play much on FTP because they didn't know about rakeback when they signed up and then couldn't get it.

It's a ****ty feeling sitting at a table knowing some people sitting next to you are are getting rakeback and you're not.

This article is about software pricing but it touches on the same aspects.

I think rakeback might be good for smaller sites because it's good for affiliates and they need the extra free promotion (still sucks for players though) FTP is a big enough brand even with everything that happened.

If you want a VIP system, guess what, there's this site called Pokerstars. Weekly rakeback is awesome.

There is a lot of grey room for improvement... the rakeback for some was constraining FTP a lot on the marketing front. What seperated FTP from PS was that they taylored their revards to lower volume grinders, wheras PS is for higher volume players. There is certainly room for a VIP system taylored to lower volume grinders...

So everyone sat at a Pokerstars table are getting the same effective rakeback? A SNE is getting way more rakeback than a bronze star, so no different to FT. The VIP at Stars is so weighted towards SN and above that anyone below that is much better off with the flat 27% RB at FT, especially when combined with Ironman.

Also, if you played regularly at FT and hadn't signed up through a non RB affiliate, a couple (and then another couple ) of emails would have seen you getting RB through rakebackpros.

The VIP system at Stars suits some, but really only those who make SN or above, leave rakeback on FT alone as it works great for a lot of us.

Rakeback is what set Full Tilt apart from the other big sites. I don't want them moving to some ****ty, top heavy, reward system like Stars or Party.

As someone pointed out earlier a VIP system does not have to be top heavy, and I don't mind if they give affiliate money to us players instead, a couple of % of total rake adds up.

Thanks Markus.

Question about Depositing and Withdrawing on FTP:

I dont think most players were even aware of this but there were always "hidden" fees for non US players depositing on FTP (converting the £ / € etc to USD would always lose about 2% I believe, and the same for withdrawing) will this still be the case? Or will FTP become more like stars for depositing and withdrawing where all funds are converted free of charge.

I like how you said "Thank you so much." as if you actually care, and yet were completely unwilling to read the thread at all..
