I really cant believe there hasnt been any Hoss TBF and red pro curse posts.

I mean the guys has basically never lost in the last two years, then as soon as he goes red he has a -500k downswing.

1.He hasn't lost 500k. Patrik was in for 300k

2.He didn't lose because he was a red pro. He lost because Patrik adjusted to him in the middle of the match and probably had some rush too. Before Patrik adjusted, he was getting crushed. Hoss was up 280k at one point. If he quit then or if Patrik quit then, you wouldn't be making this post about red pro curse.

3.He hasn't lost this much before because he wasn't playing insanely great players like Patrik!

He's down 100 big bets on the day which isn't that many in HULHE. He's also only just got his 2k/4k table which is truly a sick limit. I think most people underestimate just how big those 2k/4k games play relative to say 200/400 plo or nlhe.

Why do you believe you can differentiate between random fluctuations of luck and the adjustments in play that occur in a 2k/4k LHE match by railing?

Because you cant

In general, you can't.

However, in this case you can assume there's a lot of adjusting by Patrik because he's a sicko.

also, note that i mentioned patrik was on some kind of rush too. I think it's a combination of both.

Yes I play. I take shots. I lose. Like Livb112, I might some day learn. Or maybe not. Let's not derail my beloved thread anymore.

Clearly you don't know much about Matt's style. He trys to play solid balanced close to optimal poker. If that's the case then Patrik can't really "adjust" to exploit him. Also, I think the two have played quite a lot so I don't know what Patrik would suddenly have learned midway through this session. It's just variance.

1. He is on about a 500k downswing against other players in Limit Holdem and also in HORSE.

2. Funny how you talk about 300k swings at this limit just being standard rushes, but then go on to say how well Patrik adjusted and that is why he won. Not just a rush.

3. A better way to say your statement would be "He has made this much before because he was playing insanely overrated players like Patrik".

Gus had a 600k+ day and nobody mentions it? WTF!!!
