On the bright side, Nasud is up 250k and the guys hunting him (Terken, Ben, Oddsen, Barcode) are all down
why is this surprising? why is this bad?

when action happens way above the normal limits that run, it's going to be very unstable and built around whatever caused it to begin. i can't imagine being mad at players who have the bankroll for wanting to play with a guy they think they have an edge on.

He didn't say it was surprising, just lame, and it is if you're the mark. If I saw everyone sit out when I do, avoid playing hands with each other etc I'd think they were colluding or something and not come back.

    it's definitely unfortunate, yes

i don't know that it's possible for it not to be obvious, though, when games just won't run at certain stakes (or won't run often enough) to provide cover for the times they instantly form around a bad player.

beyond just starting/stopping, players can do a lot to make things better - not varying their buyin so obviously/exploitively, continuing play at a table where the mark is sitting out but still there, etc.

Yeah and I thought they were going to be making some effort to do that but that remains to be seen. They could at least play while the guy is sat out and pay each other back after or something.
